Hey bobbooty, I'm just about to go into construction and have some concerns about FLIR. I've read somewhere on this thread that a person using a 400wHPS should not worry too much about their IR footprint. Especially with the right amount of IR block. I've also had someone tell me that I don't need to worry too much, using a single 1000wHPS. I want to use IR block to wrap my closet doors with, to block any IR from the grow space, and the exhaust, which will be mounted to a board along the side of the closet door frame. Venting toward the doors, which will have the IR block. I may not be able to completely seal off this IR wrap with tape, as this will be the entrance to my grow. But if a single 1000wHPS is somewhat managable, then the IR block on the doors should conceal the exhaust exit fairly well? The doors shut snug in the door frame, so with the IR block, it should create a decent seal. Barry Cooper says that a single 1000wHPS could easily be exhausted within the home, and would not reveal any concentrated hot spots. What do you think? Any ideas? Thanks Dr. FunkensteinPS: For everyone else who is also a little paranoid, havr you all considered purchasing a handheld IR reading device? I saw them on amazon.com for different prices. The dude on the LiquidLumens demo video on youtube uses one to demonstrate the effectiveness of the light. Check these out, and let me know what you think. I'm probably going to pick one up for good measure.

if the government is watching you via satellite in real time, you got bigger problems. i mean seriously, think about this for a sec, even the gov has trouble keeping up with the guerrilla mj growing on their own land (national parks), how come satellite imagery hasn't pinpointed the location of every mj plant growing on federal land?

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Has anyone used anything like this, in place of traditional Grow Shop IR Block? Ultra Touch 4 Ft. x 75 Ft. Radiant Barrier ![]() UltraTouch Natural Cotton Radiant Barrier is a lightweight, foil faced, fire retardant blanket-type insulation with multiple uses. UltraTouch Natural Cotton Radiant Barrier, made from durable natural recycled fibers, offers excellent thermal and acoustical performance and carries a Class A or Class 1 rating. * Superior acoustical performance * Reflects up to 97% of radiant energy * Reduces heating and cooling costs * Easy to use and install * Class A (Class 1) Fire Rating * No Itch or Skin Irritation * Durable recycled natural fiber padding * Versatile product with multiple uses Can anyone shed any light on these specs? What does Class A/Class 1 fire rating mean? Is this product comparable to the traditional IR Block sold in HydroShops? There are actually a few brands, that all make the same claims. Some claim to prevent mold and resist condensation.
