i knew someone who had a baggie in his pocket heading to bc from the states. they told him to empty his pockets...he reached in and put everything on the counter(thinking...god i'm fuked now)...they thumbed thru and said...ok go ahead. that was right after 911 so maybe they were truely just looking for weapons or sharp objects. i know they took my little swiss army knife that's on my keychain.

just 2 sundays ago. I flew from Northern CA. to Southern CA. I was going down to pick up a 05' Denali for a friend at LAX. So. for the trip back i rolled about a dozen doob's. A friend told me the night before not to worry about it because i was NOT leaving CA. That he had flown down a few weeks back, and while he was standing in line at security, a lady broke out her stash and recommendation to declare she had it , AND heres the kicker. The gaurds told her to put it away ,they did not want to see it and to "Just get on the plane !" So, i didnt hide mine, had my recomendation ready just in case, and went through security. Now, when my bag went through the X-ray with the MJ in it. The guy paused for just a second to look at it and never said a word.
BUT, my flight was a "Direct" flight and never left CA. Flying to another state is probably not a good idea.

ANd i took my portable DVD, watched "Surfer Dude" on the plane. Had the feeling the other passengers would have liked to be watching a movie too.

Seeing as how I am the wifey it's ALWAYS my job to get our meds on vacation with us. My husband and myself would NEVER consider going away for a week with Nothing! Were daily smokers who would rather stay home if we can't smoke on vacation. Hubby is a worry wart and I stay cool & calm. We were going on a 16 day honeymoon to Miami for a few days then on to an 8 day cruise. I was so worried to put anything in my bag as this honeymoon cost us our entire savings up to that point. I was not going to have someone find something that would jepordize our trip. I de-seeded/de-stemmed all of the smoke wrapped it as tight as possibe, wrapped in plastic wrap and carfully placed it where it would net be seen/felt (unless they had X-ray). Hubby was freaked and as soon as we got to airport, of coarse they took me to the side. Complete with two female officers they patted me down/rubbed over private parts, and even felt under bra strap.( I was a bit violated) I was warned of this stuff before hand so I did not let it bother me. I knew the only thing that would give me away was my actions so I stayed calm. Then they asked me to sit down and remove my shoes. I seen Hubby (almost in tears) watching me, and getting yelled at for not moving forward. I just smiled, kicked off my shoes and said "i heard this might happen so I worse special socks just for you". I kicked my shoes off, showed my fuzzy socks and the girls started laughing. They threw me my shoes and said go on! Hubby was having panic attack and almost gave me away, but I guess alot of it does have to do with "acting obviose". I just kept calm, laughed with officers and rolled a HUGE Fatty once in South Beach!
For who ever travels with out it, How do you enjoy your vacation with out it? (Unless heading to netherlands )

Just wondering how long ago that was. After 9-11 ? soon after ? The people that got "pulled aside" this past week didnt seem to get more than a pat down. But , then again im not coming from an area that terrorist would be. Just a bunch of ole Rednecks. Small Town, Small Airport.
