Here is my in the issue.

As recently as last week I placed an order with htg, and they advised me, that shipping the lights ( 2 /400's) to my island its a security risk as they're obligated to declare to customs exactly what is been send and where.
They suggested, that if I receive them in a P.O. Box it might be easier.

When they told me that, I canceled the order for the lights, and asked them to only send me the FF tri-pack, which I don't see no problem with it, since people grow tomatoes with those nutes too.

If the customs checking for growing supply's that come through the mail to an address, what tha hell is the difference using a po box.
They still know who gets them, or even better, they can be waiting at the post office for the pick up.
So, I'm back to getto do it your self lights.

ps: Domestic orders with in USA do not go through customs.

king, I hear you man.
Are you out of US too?

Well, tell you the truth, If I was the Dman, I would be looking for growing supply's at the border too.
Its so easy, since the co's have to declare what is in the package.
They don't physically have to look at the box.

Some smack can be sitting in an office checking the paper work, while stuffing his ass with donuts.

What I'm wondering though is, how good are they in finding things that aren't declared, like getting something from Ebay.

i have descided to travel 3 hours to a hydro store and pay cash

i am very insecure about doing much in the mail anymore

when i first ordered the bulk of my stuff - the UPS driver was acting weird at my door - trying to look inside my house and was taking deep breathes or wiffs as if he was trying to smell something

didnt help the hydro supplier shipped product with hydro written all over it

another time a few weeks later i had another delivery guy asking me "watcha growin?"

this time there was know reason the 2nd delivery guy to know i was growing anything since that package didnt indicate what was inside

so by now i was freaked!!!

i grew out one set of seeds i had started, harvested them to soon - out of paranoia and broke it down - now i have moved (not from paranioa just ended up that way)

Yea i understand domestic does not go through custons but im more concerned with customs here. I sent out broken ballast to get fixed last week so hopefully that will be delivered OK. It left Canada on the 25 of Feb so I think if they were on to me than I would have known by now.

I highly doubt they really LOOK for anything. If it jumps out, then maybe. One of my buddies ordered everything for a 3k grow to a secure address, shipped on two very full pallets. No one ever knocked or questioned. I get most of my liquid nutes from the hydro store, but other than that i only go if its convenient or i need something immediately, but even then its often quicker to overnight stuff because of time it takes to get to and from the hydro store. I regularly place orders, with my own CC, or buy things off ebay. I always stress discrete shipping. I feel i have many other things to be more worried about

And who really cares about the dog sniffing, I couldn't EVER imagine the day to day paranoia of shipping anything illegal. To me, doing that is almost like giving the leo a free-bee. Even still, i know two people that do it for a living. If i ever had a knock at my door for some nutes while that other shit is still going on...........

Yep, sorry for the rant
