Hey all...One last question.

How badly does drying ganja stink? I should know the answer, I guess but it's just never been an issue before.

At this point, I have timed the inspection to be a day or two after anticipated harvest. So the plants should be newly hung and drying in their secret spot. Thing is, I want to unplug the fan that connects to the filter, so Inspector Gadget doesn't see a huge extension cord going into...nowhere. I also don't want him to hear white noise coming from an area where he shouldn't ordinarily be hearing white noise.

I'm figuring the system will be down for about an hour or so...maybe less if I start the guy off in the room next to the drying plants. I'm figuring there wouldn't be much of an odor build up at that point..The grow room is covered in Pandaplastic, 3/4 inch plywood and then itself surrounded by two brick walls and two wood walls.

Still,I'd like to know if I should if I have to take extraordinary measures. Like emptying a can of Right Guard (my old method for smoking at home when I was 15). I'm thinking that if odor was an issue, I could do a roast of coffee - coffee roasting has a pretty profound aroma...Or even tell him that the odor he is smelling is from a prior coffee roast. It does linger and is pretty pungent.

hehe... it STINKS. If you don't have a filter to be running 24/7 get the drying plants out of there.

Cook some garlic and onions in a frying pan. My house smells worse when drying than when flowering.

Thanks, it'll be running 24/7 until the guy shows up. He's going to call 1/2 an hour before hand, so I figure I can run down to the room and unplug the fan and then plug it back in as soon as he leaves. And I figure if I show him the room first (well, the room next to the secret drying room)...then perhaps it wouldn't be so bad.

Unfortunately, the room is nowhere near the kitchen. But it is right next to where I roast coffee. And the coffee roast odor is strong and can linger for a day or two.

I'd say do both. Roast some coffee and unplug the fan and seal the room shortly before he arrives. Doing anything more than that might be suspicious anyways.
