I got a possession charge the other night and the cop found my digital camera in the vehicle and saw pictures of my plants, i told him i took pictures of some pictures i saw online. The cops left with my weed(maybe 2 grams) and my buddy's pipe. They didn't take the camera or anything but im sketched out. Plants are not at my residence and have already been cut down but this is still scary. | ||

| That's terrible, man. It's a shame that this sorta shit still goes down. Is possession a misdemeanor where you live? Is it decriminalized?

| If the plants were cut down, then no worries. Maybe chill for a bit though. Now tell me, how the hell the cop got to look through your camera? That should only be legal prior to lawful arrest.

| Said he got possession charge, just cuz they don't cart you off in cuffs, charged is arrested, legally, I think. Hell, if they weren't at my house I'd be damned if I'd cut 'em down.

| You bet that's a good question, the cop would take the time to look thru your photos as if thats somehow related to you being in possession dureing a traffic stop? Now if he found some fresh colas that were still wet from a recent harvest, he could extrapolate that the camera might provide evidence of a grow site. If you got poped with some dry herb I cant see how the cop could expound or tell a jury why he was compelled to check your camera when you had a sack of herb in your pocket. Comin into Los Angeleese bringin in a couple of keys. Dont touch my bags if you please Mr Customs man..................... and leave the friggin camera alone also.

'and what have you been taking pictures of?' over here they call it 'the reason to believe rule'. if OZ leo has reason to believe that a crime is involved, they can enter, poke and probe all they want. nowhere is this more evident than on the side of the road. i once got pulled over, my car and possessions searched, because one of them had seen me earlier in the day, during his enquiries.giving him reason to believe drugs were in the car, turned out that he had seen me next door to his house working on a pensioners garden; he had seen me leaving FOR work. lol. no apology offered. if you had been founf here with that camera JGrow, your house and mates house, anyone on the camera, would have had their house and person examined; due to the belief that you 2 grams were the proceeds of crime. good luck, but think how lucky you are. on my camera i have happy snaps of nothing on internal memory, keep mj pics on a card, easy to remove and hide. which i clear as soon as they are downloaded. or practice delete all. best nigel wishes nigel
