Hey y'all... I just posted this in my grow journal, but I thought this info makes sense here, too: Some background: I'm using CFLs in a grow cab in a closet. Currently there are four mature plants vegging (about to switch to 12/12, actually). The odor was starting to make it into the rest of the house and so I started looking for an inexpensive odor control solution that wouldn't require building or buying a carbon scrubber for my little cabinet... My review: A couple weeks ago I got a small-size Ona deodorizer. A few days ago I finally got around to trying it out. When I opened the jar completely the 'disinfectant' smell was sort of overpowering after a matter of minutes. I put the lid back on and left it slightly loose, and that has pretty much been the answer to my odor issues so far. I'm surprised that it works as well as it does, but it neutralizes the odor of my garden without creating a suspicious masking smell of its own. So to sum up, for a small-size grow like mine (in a cabinet, in a closet), the Ona Block seems to work perfectly. I'm sure they've been discussed previously on these boards, but I figured I'd add my experience to the mix. :

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Also, As I flower the plants and the odor becomes more prominent, I'll update my review to let y'all know if the Ona Block holds up to the challenge of a few stinky girls in the closet... Peace, ~RS

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | So far... I'm 10 days or so into 12/12 and I've still got the Ona block on top of the cab, by the exhaust. The lid is on but is barely cracked open. The room doesn't smell like Ona -- doesn't smell like anything until I open the cabinet. Is it possible I've struck a balance between masking the MJ and not having OnaBud? I'll probably still take the block out when the buds start to fatten up, but so far it seems to be working great without imparting its scent inside my cabinet...

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | What size are you guys using? I bought this stuff(refering to the pic) a few months ago and it didn't do shit except when I stuck incense in it to burn lol. I was thinking of buying the larger "gel" stuff, but I wasn't sure if it was worth it. I think I am gonna need something for my upcoming grow. thx

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | question for all you users ![]() What constitutes a block and how long do they last? In my new construction I had thoughts of incorporating a section in the exhaust where something can easily be placed inside to mask the smell going out, no inside the cab.
