I used to worry about them... if I scrapped a grow every time one flew overhead I wouldn't ever get past germination. I've got better things to worry about, like if my dog is about to shit on the carpet or not.

i opted to get the i.r. darkrooms. i live where they do militairy air training, i hear helicopters, fighter jets and all kinds of passenger liners cause its near a airport too. we have a few houses that have been busted for meth production around here and they were spotted with helicopters. but my buddy on the same street was good and he has a regular homebox. if your worried about the copters spend the money to get the good stuff. itll help you ease your mind about it all if you can for sure its safe from detection. atleast i hope my stuff is safe. lol.....

I'm in MD and have had helicopters fly low in a sweeping motion as if along a grid with a spot light on. The scariest incident was when I was going downstairs and could hear a helicopter overhead, then I saw the spot light on my back door, it disappeared and a patrol car's spotlight then zeroed in on my door as it drove by. The helicopters flying grids with the spot light happens in the beginning and end of summer for about a week at a time, it sucks. FLIR, I don't know about though, spotlights are scary enough when they are on you from up above.

Good evening,

We have a little airplane belongs to the Sheriff (i'm rural) I think who flies a grid pattern over the forests near my home. His flight path takes him over my house as he makes his turns.. I've spotted him with my digi and photographed him flying by off my back porch.
Funny, i'm legal and i'd always wondered while I was taking pictures of him doing flybys just making turns for another pass over the forested mountain sides taking pictures if he ever noticed my plants growing on the back porch when I was natural light growing.. LoL
Never had a prob with him not even a wave of his wing tips at me.. But, I wondered.

Have a Great night and be careful
