TIP: Reduce Grow Room Odors with Coffee Grounds
permalink

Add Coffee Grounds to your confined grow space. Coffee grounds absorb odor.

Even though I have a passive cabon scrubber on my grow cabinet, I would get a slight 'skunky' smell when I opened my garage where the cabinet resides. It was slight but noticeable.

I added wet coffee grounds and, viola, odor gone. Or reduced significantly.

I used wet coffee grounds. My Internet search of Coffee Grounds for Odor control seemed to indicate control claims for both dry and wet use.

I searched threads here and could not find any such reference. So I posted one for those who would like to try this.

Word of caution...

Wet coffee grounds are highly prone to getting a moldy fungus thing happening.

Great tip, thanks! Like slow said though, it can mold in a hurry (the wet stuff). Maybe change it every day or 2?

Nice tid-bit, scrub !! Would have to agree that the "shelf life" of the wet grounds would be short for the intended duty, especially in warmer climates ... just my on the subject.
