Any general tips on living situations? Growing with other pothead friends etc.

I thought it was humorous that I saw a pic of a basement that i personally *locked up*(lack of a better word) here on gardenscure. Its a rental house that my parents own and i cemented the outside window opening and tore the lock off the floor door and boarded it shut because they saw it as a unsafe place. The picture looked exactly like the basement, even had the window cemented. It would seem like the tentants turned it into a grow room. im not going to explore the issue because....what are the chances that its the same house? It would only create problems down the road.

dont grow in a rented house please, its not your house.

around these parts small time growers often rent apartments and grow personal in them without any trouble from the landlord. I myself have lived in several places around BC and landlords never do a search and never have a problem unless you dont pay rent on time. not that i ever grew in my places.. but it wouldnt have been noticed if i had.

around these parts..

the crown attorney can cease all your assets in Canada
if you are caught cultivating cannabis illegally on your
own property. so really you have more to loose if you
have your own house whether the mortgage is paid off
or not.

dont recommend growing at all unless its with a federal exemption.

However i know people who rent and have federal exemptions
to grow 49 plants with their landlords knowledge and consent.

it really depends on the situation on the city but ultimately unless
its legal its not safe anywhere. even when its legal there is a threat
of police invasion and misuse of medical patients personal information
and ultimately government corruption .

In Canada sadly it seems the medical marijuana system is flawed
and the law enforcement is using cultivating patients information to track
them down when they have nothing better to do.

Patients may not risk jail time but they risk their houses being invaded,
and efforts destroyed by police without any charges laid, even with
federal exemptions.

I have 12 plants going in a rental house currently.

The only reason this works for me is I have a few things going my way:

1) The house sat idle for about 4 years and wasn't being used.
2) The owner didn't give a shit about the house.
3) The house has no running water.

Since these things are all in effect the owner has yet to stop by in the past year. I only pay $100 a month and still get to grow there, sure it is shitty to lug 5 ga water jugs up there but it is worth it.

It is more than do-able to grow in a rented house but be extra sure that it is going to be safe for you to do it.

Like it was said earlier if you are going to use a rental don't fuck the house up. I have actually spent a lot of time fixing the house up (as best I could).

X you really need to think twice about growing entirely for a solid year before you make any moves. If you are dead set on doing it save up about 2k for supplies and make damn sure you are willing to risk your freedom.

It's all about the specific situation. There are alot of landlords that are really nosey, and in that case you'd never be able to pull it off. However, there are alot of landlords that don't even live in the same state, and you'll never see them face to face. There are alot of people on this forum who have medium to large size grows going on in rental houses.

Do you actually live in a house w/ no water? Isnt that a health code vioation or something? Im pretty sure it isnt "legal" here..

dude, no reason to get all offensive.. I just asked a simple question. But I would suspect that living/growiing in a house like the one you mentioned would draw some type of suspicion. I guess you obviously grow for "commercial" reasons.
