Growing in a rented house
permalink

Is it at all safe to grow in a house you're renting? My friend was saying its not because the landlord can drop by unsuspected and such.

Any tips of what kind of house to grow in?

In 1-2 years I might get a loan from the bank for my own mini house when my credit goes up. Get a cheap $20,000 house, and pay it back quickly while working at some computer store after I get my online associates.

Any general tips on living situations? Growing with other pothead friends etc.

growing with people in a non medical state for non medical reasons is worthless. causes too many problems.

its up to you if you want to risk it. some landlords come around a lot. some never do. some search once a year, some do once a month.

owning the house would be much safer.

but were growing pot in the US. its not that safe anywhere.

wait until you own your place

I would think growing while renting is just a hassle and causes paranoia (at least for me). You never know when something will happen. You have to tear down, put back up. Sorry, not for me.

Now, I believe that there are certain situations where growing while renting could work. I've rented places where I could have grown. But for the most part, renting and growing MJ is a rule for me like no smell/no tell

Lets look at it this way...

You spend all this time growing it, hours and hours of reading (hopefully) and learning (hopefully) and then one day you come home and your roomie decided it was time to chop?
Or while you're working, they show off your plants to their friends during a party?
To many mouths and to many people that could leak.

landlords have to give at least 24 hours notice....

if you rent a house, rarely will anyone ever stop by. unless you call them to fix something.

if you get busted in a rented house, you get evicted.

if you get busted in your own home, you stand the chance of forfeiting that house to the state.

HA you're funny, a party in a house with 15+ plants, probably a small mobile home. No thanks. I might be growing with my sister, who isn't that dumb to chop early. No one comes in the house except me and sister possibly if she will be living with me by then.

good point. and some states will really try to push this. (including mine)

as long as you dont cause problems with other people, the landlord shouldnt want/need to even see you.

however, if it sounds like construction going on, he may become interested.

a lot of people, loud noise, fighting with niehbors are things you need to avoid.

as run dmc would say, stay on the down low

Are their ways to set up fans and ventilation and lights for 15 or so plants without actually modifying or drilling into the house.
