my room will smell if i leave the door open for a while... but that fades off quickly. just work on the plants late when no one is roaming around.

you can put a filter and fan outside the grow cab to keep the air in the overall room clean. doenst need to go anywhere, just recirculate.

lastly, ozone generator WILL destroy ALL odor. every bit. and your lungs too if you breathe enough of it. very effective at odor control however.

illegal-what kind of filter do you have? my can filter smells a little like caulk/glue but nothing at all like weed.

I somewhat want to make it out of PC case now because its just...a geek thing and gives me some motivation and I know my ways around cases. In fact, I want to make it functional and also beautiful. If you guys ever saw extremely well wired PC cases (with PC components) then you know what I am talking about.

PC cases already have vent holes in them. They have too many, so most of them will be closed with something, but the needed ones will be open. This will keep me from spending extra money on drills and new cases because I know I would f*ck up.

I don't think 200cfm fans exist for case cooling though... I will have to improvise. I am also afraid that metal cases so small will heat up too much. Is it better to get a steel one or aluminum?

I am going to read the guides further, but wouldn't the size of the case along prevent the plant from getting too big? I use about 1 oz of pot a month and I expect one plant to give me about that much...

Also, is there any way to control sex of the plant? If I get seeds and they all male - I'm screwed, right?

One stealth problem I do have with my pc case, however, is that there is a shit ton of light leaking out of it. I have to keep my closet closed at night to avoid light leaking into it during the dark hours.

And if you are using something as small as a pc case, i doubt you would need a 200 cfm fan. I currently am only 5 degrees over ambient with 3x26watt cfls being cooled by 2x30cfm 80mm case fans, and another for circulation inside. Add more lights, youll need more cooling.

And one plant takes about 4 months to grow, so that will not meet your needs.

i have a can fan combo. it doesnt smell like weed, but if youve grown it, you could just tell it was thier. if youve never seen a plant, you probably wouldnt think nothing of it.

it by no means has the "skunkyness like when you would open the room. sort of like certain smells arent absorbed as much i guess.

lately ive noticed when standing outside my house at the front door, with it closed. it smells kinda skunky out there. no idea why, my vent is nowhere even close.

i dont know if its the plants out front or what....there were some flowers before that i thought were it. but now, i dunno. the flowers all died off from the heat and the smell is still there.

when i open the front door and walk in the smell is not at all inside the house, only outfront right on the doorstep.

makes me a little paranoid.....

See, things like that scare me away. What if my sh*t won't stink inside the closet but it will stink somewhere else?

I also know that back when I lived at parents' house it stunk like weed to me, but it was just garden flowers/plants. They most definitely don't grow pot.

Not in a pc case grow. My hempy buckets average about 3.5 ounces per plant.

id say you could get 4 ounces at least every 2 months.

a closet, 400 watt hps, and a small place to start clones/seeds for your next grow. read up on perpetual growing to get a good idea. as soon as you harvest, you put more plants into flower...or harvest one, add one.

you should get 4 ounces no problem at least every 1-2 months.
