![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | PCO technology is just a fancy label put on ozone generators. thats how i see it. they work nearly the same way, and rid the air of VOC the same way {oxidation} both ozone and PCO come from very unregulated industry. there is no proof you are safe living with these items in your home, or even workplace. {where you spend less time than hime} my point being even if PCO works acceptably well at eliminating odor, i would NOT put it in the same house as my family. just like 03 generators. Carbon filters are the most effective completely safe way to remove odor. period. if you want a clean room just use a HEPA filter on your intake.

Well, Luke - I have to respectfully agree to disagree. According to this medical HEPA filters are dangerous - Hidden hazards and dangers associated with the use of HME/filters in breathing circuits. Their effect on toxic metabolite production, pulse oximetry and airway resistance -- Lawes 91 (2): 249 -- British Journal of Anaesthesia I think there is so much information online these days finding good info is as easy as finding bad. I guess we all have to use what we think is the best option. The only thing I can state is, for ME - the light bulb works great.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | agree to disagree all you want. the air going into your grow room generally isnt a "breathing circuit" but the exhaust surely can be. HEPA or not, you can keep most of the nasty crap out of your room by merely using a filter. you forget PCO technology is all but useless in a heavily ventilated room, and you are spewing the left over free radicals into wherever your exhaust dumps. not to mention purifying the air once it is in the room is a little too late....you have already breathed in the toxins, allergens or germs by the time a tiny oxidizing machine has had time to clean the air. also, we are not in intensive care unit, these are healthy plants not immuno compromised elderly or children. the key to a sterile environment is filtered air coming in and out. trying to keep a room sterile by constantly pumping contaminents into it is not the way to roll. then on top of it to think hanging a dinky magic cfl from the ceiling will change all that. well you just keep on sellin that story. believe whatever you want, but the fact remains. PCO and O3 CAN MAKE YOU SICK. {or dead}

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I've used Carbon, Hepa and Ionizers. I can tell you that it is very difficult to get rid of the smell completely. I have never tried Ozone generator or infa red might want to give them a shot . ![]()
