the way it was sold to me was,, u get the financing for the solar hook up, they avrage out your bill for the last yr, thats what determans how big of a system u need, they try to make the load payment close to what your power bill was,,so it dont hurt your pocket at all !!!!! the state sends u rebates over somay years, u apply them to the loan,,NOT YOUR POCKET! the power co sends u a check or power credits, like i said u pay a regular power bill for the next so many years and then its free pretty much. win/ win if u ask me,,oh panels today are good for 20 yrs plus, and will be cheaper in the near futer to repace.

Not to mention they themselves are coming down in price. So yea i hear you out on that. Everyone should switch to that eventually!

i think in your case what happened is they read it initially and then came back for the reguarllerly schedule readings....... it use to freak out when the guy would show up and i had my 1kw running... i would try to schedule it being off around the time he got here... and i make sure to do the laundry during the day because it helps cover the noise right above the meter...... (my fan)........ sometimes this stuff happens.... good luck... PEACE..

my two cents worth, if you are new to the place then they do not know just how much your regular bill will be, so run everything! run the 1000 even if you don't have any plants in the veg stage. run the lights, turn down the ac, leave the fridge door open, (not really) you get the idea.

Thanks so much all you guys! So i have really gotten the sense i over reacted. But lets all be honest sometimes in this hobby that isnt really the case and everything needs to be taken very seriously!

Lol u kno Gwen that was one of my thoughts. That the tardo just read my meter wrong the first time and after a week it had gotten bak to him and he had to go and fix his mistake. Im with you all with wat your saying. You hav even prompted me to even prolly trun the damn thing bak on.

Now that i think, it may b a lil strange for all this power to b drawn, meter guys shows up, power isnt drawn anymore, and then a month or so later power drawn again cuz my 600 shows up. So, all your 2 cents have been taken. And i almost gotz a dollar! lol. Alot of being thrown around in this thread. I love it, and i love you guys! and girls! Its almost like a lil cyber family on here lol. Thanks guys for your input, concerns, and suggestions. They are all taken strongly.

i can practically guarantee you the meter reader guy was not out there because you turned on your 1k lamp... 1000 watts is nothing... Maybe if you turned on ten thousand watts and he came out twice that'd be reason to trip out.

My air conditioner alone uses two thousand watts, a lot of houses have ones that are twice as big. Unless your running more than 10,000 watts power usage isnt much of an issue.

Just fire up that 1kw again and go for it.
