So, like the title says. This dude has me a bit of the worried side. I have had my 1000w hooked up for mayb a week. I just moved in about 3 weeks ago. the 2nd week in i had the 1000w hooked up and going. Thats actually when he paid the inital visit that was supposed to be my inital meter reading. Well he didnt say anything except i better be prepair for a large bill because this whole block has large bills due to the crappy A/C units. Anyways, he showed up again yesterday as my GF was leaving the house. He didnt say anything she said, n just left. So im wondering why the fuck hes back again. Has me worried, as in i already drew a flag with them and its only been a week worried. So, i shut her down, we both have decided its tooo much, way to much. Now, my question, i kno the best thing to do is deff shut it off n not use it now, but should i cancel what i got going on right now all together? Nothing special just bag crap. Not really that far along either, mayb 3 weeks. Or not worry about it? Have i done what i need to and that is not use the 1000. Or are they starting to look at me and i should lay reeeeally low for a while? Help me out guys, people that have had expeirances. Lik i said, im trippin right now, and i dont want to b. But i also dont want bad to come and me hav done sumthin stupid like not tear down the little bit i had. Thanks all!

| Ya got me...did you sign up for a time of use plan? did he need to change any equipment on the meter? i wouldnt worry abuot 1kw light drawing attention. hell yuor microwave uses more than that | ||

| Thats the thing he didnt do anything! Nothin at all. And yea the entire unit is electric so when my stove, microwave, and A/C are on that thing is going waaaaacky. But ur sayin that the 1000w should never be enough to draw attention to me? He was there for some reason on his part? Lik maybe they messed up and wrote down the wront inital read? Idk. So you say go along as planned? And if i choose not to use the 1000w anymore i couldnt go wrong? O and no i didnt sign up for anything like a time of use or nothing. Im really startled tbh.

| Call the power company and question why an employee was out there 2x. I don't think it's grounds to give up growing. Lay low for awhile if it makes you feel better. The entire apt is electric? Isn't the meter on the outside? You have no worries only running 1K. no smell / no tell / no sell | ||

| Well its actually a townhouse. And yea my meter is outside. I was thinking about calling them and being like im wondering when im going to be getting a bill because i saw the meter guy a second time and am curious as to y that is. But yea i dont sell, you cant smell shit, n well i dont tell anyone cuz i just moved from my home town so there isnt anyone i even know. lol. Ok guys, well u have made we feel a lil better. Im not going to cancel it all together, just veg out under my CFL's. I do have a question thou. Is there going to b a large differance in produce between using a 150hps and a 250hps? Im gonna grab one, but i didnt kno which. I mean obviously more is better. But i guess im asking is it worth it? Worth the extra money for the extra 100 watts.

| no smell dont worry  my comp has a 1000 watt ps and stays on 24/7 the dude already said the whole neighbor hood has high power bills then u shouldn't stick out at all he was probaly just givin u a heads up that ur power bill will b high so when it is u dont freak out and think he fucked up  stay safe 1

| Absolutely give the electric company a call. Let them know you are curious why the meter reader came out so soon. Perhaps you caught him during his regular rounds of the month. On a side note, the first grow is always a time of paranoia. I remember the first cycles of electricity usage when I was starting up made me nervous. I'm now over 7 years along doing the same thing week after week after week. Make the call first, and then decide your course of action. | ||

| Dudes thanks soooo much. You all have lead me to think its all ok. I was thinking yea mayb it was his rounds as well. But y did he stop only at my house lol. Anyways, you all have led me to believe that its ok for just 1000w. Lik you had stated n its funny but my bro said the same thing about his computer. He was like dude my comp. has a 1000w in it. Its nothing anymore for sumone to use that amount of electric. Well i still have decided to take it down. And just lower my power. So will a 400w be ok? Should i do a 250? Would that draw like waaaay less?

| get the 150 or 250 in place of your 1k?? I would veg under CFL's then move to your flower room to finish veg a couple weeks under your 1k, then flip the switch I would opt for a 600. at the very least a 400 ask yourself, how much meds do i need every 3 months?? | ||

| Well and see thats what i am trying to figure out. I kno wat i neeeed. But idk what these different light will do. If you kno wat im sayin. Lik, i prolly go threw 2 onions a month. N thats not letting up. I could prolly bring it down to 1.5 if i had too. I would like for atleast 3 good females at all times, and for them to fatten up nice, lik say a 3 onioner or maybe a 2.5 per ladie. Thats wat im going for, so with that said, 400?
