Exhaust questions
permalink

My friend is wondering the best methods for exhausting the heat. He has a 400 Watt cool tube HPS in a 9 Sqft room. The odor is under control cause he using a scrubber. He was wondering if he can just exhaust his heat through the Central air already cooling his house? Also can he just vent directly into a big room in the house during the winter and use the heat to look like a heater? What are some other possible methods?

I vented back into the room during winter for the free heat. Only thing about the free heat that caused issues were the open windows. From the warm, humid air interacting with the cold air, I got mold all around the baseboards in that one room. If you are venting into another room, away fromt the intake, you should be fine.
