It would make perfect sence to me the onwer of these sites could see our IP.

Why the hell wouldnt he be able to?

I could really care less.

Police, if you want to come arrest me for growing a few plants for myself then you have some issues you need to work out....But come and get me.

I know our government has the power to listen in on phone calls. Im sure they can figure out every website youve been on from there little offices. They dont need the owner of this site to track ip's to figure out where we are.

ive been here at this site 7yrs and havent seen a single member busted here that way.

It's called "deep pocket mintoring"

All they need is to monitor who logs on and posts, when you give your Email address in the registering process they have all they need, your Email, your I.P. Address, and if you're stupid enough to think posting pictures from your home computer is safe...well I think you would not be a threat to them anyways.

If anyone is obviously breaking Federal law by the size of your harvest, they use the pictures as a weapon to get access to monitor the site then everyone is monitored not just the one person.

According to my guy, it's not very safe to even log in to these site unless you are using a real Proxy server. Even then it's easy to trace.

I have another statement that I know will catch some flack, but you do realize how easy it would be for THEM to set up thier own website and have full access to all your registration info don't you?

They can take a snapshot of your user info by using high tech trojan or spyware software without even being directly connected with the website.

If you want to get the scoop on who is tracking you here is a simple technique...

1st do a complete scan with anti-spyware, anti-virus, anti-rootkit freeware. The best freeware is available from Majorgeeks.com like Avast for anti-virus and Iobit Advanced systemCare/ Security 360, Super Anti-Spyware, Spy-Bot Search and Deastroy for anti-Spyware.

Then log on and post on your favorit Grow site.

Then do another full scan after logging off...

I think you would be supprized what you find. You should see what I found going to OpenGrow...They tried tracking me. They can suck my nuts and We'll be seeing them at the next Grow Expo you can garantee it.

Anytime your Web Browser says "some of the info on this page is unsecure or unprotected" Log off immediately. They usually use the pictures on the website to install spyware.

Oh and by the Way, this is a dummy I.P. Address. They can go directly to hell.

I'm just trying to do a good deed. All of you haters, I wonder what you would say if you lived in my shoes for a day.
