Trust him with my life.

But the best thing to do is avoid any suggestion of being a green grower. Even if all your buddies say they have you figured out and all that, deny as much as possible. The more heads that hear means theres more mouths to talk.

Then again... It's always nice to have that one person you can always counts on, especially if you have to go out of town for an extended period. If anything, the only thing that comes to mind is for that one friend to definitely be someone you know would save your ass for you, and vice versa. My bud has proven that enough to matter, and vice versa.

Yes sad to say I could not keep a secret. I told "my best friends" a married couple that live near me and my cousin who lives out of state. And I of course told them not to tell anyone

Of course! Thanks Dave.

Interesting answers from all, I appreciate everyone who participated.
You have all made me feel a bit less stupid.

To those of you who have 100% kept it to yourselves, I'm impressed.

To those who, just like me, have some one/two/three others that know; may the trust we have in others be rewarded with a lifetime of freedom!

This thread is perfect for what just happened to me. I had 3 people at my house, 2 of whom knew about the grow. Very good friends of mine who both had been strongly instructed to never tell a soul for any reason. I went as far as to explain that ANY mention of it could land both our asses in jail.

Unfortunately just this saturday, one of these friends was too stupid to keep his mouth shut. He blurts out, right in front of someone he had never seen in his life just 5 minutes before, "hey man im gonna check your plants out. Are they getting real big now?"

Well, to make a long story short, I flipped out. I spent $300 in equipment to move my grow into my hot as hell attic the next day. During this time I talked to everyone and explained that the grow is over and done with. I told everyone I chopped the plants and that's the end, thanks for nothing.

So because these people are apparently too dumb to keep their mouths shut about something that could get me thrown in prison and ass raped, they will never see, hear, smell, or taste these plants. If we smoke together, it will only ever be stuff that someone else buys off the street. I refuse to risk my career by dealing with the black market. If they don't find anything for us then I'll wait for them to leave my house before I pull out my homegrown buds. After what he did, I don't feel a bit of remorse for bullshitting and holding out on all of them. To think that he did that right in front of my face. It makes me wonder how many people have been told behind my back that I never knew about.

I still have one friend who knows. He gave me the 400 HPS im using. He has been my closest most trusted friend since before I was even 10 years old. Even his fiance doesn't have a clue. It just sucks that people can be so damn careless even after countless lectures. We're in a war for god's sake.

First, t-1,000 , you don't get raped in prison anymore. Nowdays, its the Prosecutor and the Judge that rape you. The convicts don't mess with you, and the inmates are going home soon and could care less about rape.

BUT good reminder- tell 1 person, double the odds you'll be told on- even unintentionally.
Tell 2 people , it goes up geometrically. Tell enough, it's a matter of time before handcuffs or a pistol in your ear.

I tell nobody but you people. Ever.

Sometimes things get beyond our control when we live with others and they dont embrace the code of conduct most of us subscribe by. Anotherwords a guy can practice keeping his mouth shut but if the GF isnt on the same page or takes it lightly, then you may be in for trouble as well.

Case in point; The GF is home 60-75% of the time with a big dog that will bark should someone come noseing around. When shes around I can go about my life knowing that rippers wont be visiting my plot if im out working, shopping etc.

GF splits for a week and takes big dog with her for holiday and leaves me at home to tend my garden. This makes it difficult to maintain security as I would beyond freak if my plants got ripped. I sneak out before sunrise for an hour for a quick jog but because of my parking arrangement it is obvious when I am home or when I am away.

Since there is the possibility that my neighbors may know about my outdoor grow, they could hop the wall if they notice im gone, because my car isnt in the driveway. I was thinking about hiding one of my vehicles far away from my house to test the waters. This way if my car is gone they will think im gone and attempt to possibly do a rip job. What's going thru my head is that seeing my vehicles at the property is the only deterence I have.

This time of year for us outdoor growers can be nerve racking when we have so much invested and dont wish to loose it to some friggin thiefs. Sorry if I drifted off topic but sleeping with the plants or at least with one eye open is hard to do and ill be a wreck for the next month due to the self imposed isolation ive choosen for myself. Cant afford to loose this crop and she's looking sweet.

Hello,

I have shared your pain before. I would think the best thing is to do is to leave one of your cars in the driveway at all times. No one will know if your home or not. Their best bet is that you are home as your car hasn't left the drive, this should detour rippers.

Get that dog back ASAP! ! A decent dog is key for outdoors. I like German Shepherds for the season personally. There are a lot of dogs that will be good for security - almost anything that will bark. But until you get one back there, you don't sound like you are going to sleep well at night. So get that dog back, or get your own. Once you have your own beast it will learn and then no more worries

Hey, if your going to be stuck in the woods for a few weeks, try and get a geni like a honda 3000iu or something. The 2000iu is sexy then bring your laptop and a fuckload of dvds. Oh, and, smoke pot, feel good man, your almost there!

Peace,
bert
