Robbed for me. A couple of plants for me is a Cannabis Infringement Notice - equivalent of a speeding ticket.

I have had a couple of break-in attempts in my time. Worst one was falling asleep on the couch and waking to hear the pleasant sound of a screwdriver being jimmied under a window in my lounge room. It does get the adrenalin going. Just put on my meanest, deepest voice, told them to F%&#@ off and I was calling the cops, scared them away easily enough.

They must have tried another window first though. I was renovating at the time, when I went and checked around the following morning, I noticed finger prints in a recently replaced window that had fresh putty around the edges.

For me, busted, times 3.

I have a bad neighborhood, but nobody is gonna try my apartment anytime soon, I don't have much visible to steal, and I got a dog on top of it..

However, LEO and a ripper are the same- no more weed in your grow- but LEO will put me in jail, take all my grow supplies, probably destroy the door worse than a sneak-n-peak robber, and by the time I get out I won't have any money, an apartment, or anything at all.

At least a thief will just smash and grab, and given the neighborhood I'll eventually find out who did it. It'll be the guy missing an arm due to Mollie, my Great Dane.

She's trained well enough to let someone in- don't want her attacking the delivery guy or something- but getting out is another story. She doesn't like to let her new friends leave. Coupled with the fact that most burglars around here don't go armed to avoid a bigger charge if caught, they may smoke some of the grow but they'll be there when I get home.

I gotta believe busted would be worse and more expensive in the long run. I live in a very rural area, and never locked my doors or took the keys out of the vehicle ignitions for 20 years, but a crop in my yard got ripped this fall, so unfortunately now the doors get locked, and no more back yard grows.

I think a lot depends on the size of your grow, my plant count would probably make the front page of the newspapers where I live, .

... I don't worry about either. I have a BIG dog. Most people won't attempt a break in with a dog in the house. I also keep my trap shut and don't talk to anyone about my grow and I ONLY smoke at home.

always listening for that sound..looking out windows if only a car passes.

you see a paranoid person is rather noticable to those who look for that..

make sure your shit is tight, dont talk about it and forget about it.

on the similarites.. watching people (and movies and therefore peoples ideas on people)

cops and robbers, look much alike. very similar looking people, especially on tv.

adrenalin and control freaks.

but i guess the cops are worse. either they are total idiots or some fool that really wants to fuck up your life, a robber is in and out and is just desperate for money.

a robbery can more easily be gotten over. bust can follow you all your life and fuck up so much more.

so either a cop is a mean powerhungry bitch that likes to step on people or its a stupid fool that thinks its doing right by doing you bad.
