I did a search, and the most recent info in the security forum is a couple years old so I thought I'd just ask.

How do you have stuff shipped to you? Do you have a USPS PO box, a box at the UPS or FEDEX place, etc?

A little more info may help weed out answers that won't be of help in my situation...
I can't really use a friend's address regularly, nor do I want someone else taking risks for me if I order seeds. And, I only have one address for myself, no other house or business to use.
I've called the local UPS and FedEx, and neither offers general delivery any longer.

Should I just go to a neighboring town and get a real PO box, even though ID is required?

You mean a US post office one? Like you got one with valid ID and just use a fake name when having stuff shipped?

I used an address where the grow isnt located, where i have access to mail. with other mail sent there also, to with real name. i sent seeds to that address, under a fake name. thats what i did when i last ordered seeds, over 3 years ago. no problems. even used personal credit card. did this a bunch of times.

i have a PO box in my real name. i have had seeds sent to that, under a fake name. that worked too. even used my personal credit card. but i think one time i had it sent there, after a few times of sending, it was intercepted, and they (seedsbotique) wanted another addy, so i started using the addy above, and that worked. never used my PO box again for seeds after that though.

Yeah, I'm not so much worried about personal CC unless a company I order from won't ship to anything other than the billing address. I've already had seeds shipped to my main addy with no problem, but I don't want to make it a habit.

I live in a tiny town with no residential mail delivery, so even something addressed to the street addy has to be collected at the post office. So even if I use the actual PO box number here, it's still the same as using the street addy. I just want to separate things and don't know if a box at the UPS store is a better idea, or just a PO box in some other town.

yes i have a usps box and had to show identification to get the box but i feel safe using it to order seeds. i also used a ups box but it was more expensive than from the usps so i switched. i use my initials for almost all my stuff to the p.o. box including seeds. i've used my box for years now and have not had any issue.

I'm sure this answer will be of no use but... My grandparent recently passed away and I live closest to her. So, I just had the seeds shipped to her addy and since I was getting the mail anyway it all worked out fine.
