| this thing is da coolest ever!!! it only cost me $40.00 for one part and i got it running, it works like a charm, i will take ANYTHING outta the air! smells like a waterfall!! i heard from the site i got the plans off that ozone is actually NOT bad for your health as long as you cant smell it, you know your breathing it when you can smell some thing metalicy. i was going to go with neg-ion but i heard that they actually dont work to well, and all you have to do is get a digital timer and put the ozone generator on for 10 min outta every 2 hours and it works great! it you dont have something to take the smell out of the air i highly recomend that you cheak out this link. if you folow everything you can make the generator for as little as like $6.00, mine cost more b-cuz i used a high power transformer, and it was brand new. here is the golden url http://www.coastnet.com/~bcga/bcga/ozone.htm have fun. i recomend that you read the fcc bull crap, their link is on another message on this message board about the smell, they don't have anything nice to say about the ozone generator, but it is a proven method, and if used properly is not harmfull. but you should be the judge becuase it is potentionally harmfull. | yes! it works like a charm! i took my plants outside though cuz my dad said that they were a waste of power, and he didnt approve of them. so i had to take em out side. my mom hated them and wanted to destroy them, (my poor lil plants) any way back to the O3...i would definatly recomend it to any one and everyone. but do folow the safty stuff as its NOT known to be harmfull, but large doses are therorized to be bad for your lungs, but hey it's not as bad as inhaleing tobaco, so whats the big deal. like i said if you use it at the specifications, its totally cool, no damage possibe. but i negleted to mention that geting and electric timer is wise, it will almost cost you as much as the O3 generator, but you need it to put it on in intervals of 15 min every 2 hours. PS:even though i never got to test it on my own plants, i have tested it on tobaco smoke, perfume and.. plants at a friends house. it worked perfectly, cleared anything& everything up in 30 min of constant use or less. PPS:good idea to have a fan to blow the ozone around, like its makes it incredibly more efective Peace ThUmPeR | ||

| lilbuddie, have you made a choice yet?? I use a O3 gen and an very happy with the results. Used to be able to smell the ladies inside, outside, all over. Since I got it there is NO smell. I got a commercial unit that's adjustable. It'll deoderize a huge room no problem. If you use O3 place the generator high in the room and have lots of air movement as the O3 is heavier than air and needs to be moved throughout the room to do its thing. D9 | ||

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Yeah, I did make a choice but only because one of the options was free I had a chance to acquire one of the Neg Ion gen from Sharper Image at no cost so I decided I'd try it out and if it didn't work well enough I'd go the O3 route. Nothing written in stone says I can't use both But I was heavily leaning towards the O3 anyway. So if it hadn't been free then I think I would have gone the other way. I also think I would probably look for a pre-built unit (so call me lazy :P) I know it would have cost more but hey it makes life a little easier But out of curiousity how much did yours cost? And I am going to need it these littles babies are startin' to smell already! | Ahhh...the sweet smell of success Yeah..ya can't argue with that price. I paid about $250 CDN for mine, nice little unit, 4"x4"x10", rheostat, uses 0.4Amp(gotta watch hydro use) guaranteed 5 yrs. Worth every penny. I've seen home made units and they work well so I guess I might just be a little lazy too. Heh! D9 | ||

| hehe i know what you guys are thinking about how hard it might be to get it all workin and all but im 14 (turnin 15 in like a month) and i did just fine. if you want to control the flow of ozone just add a light dimmer switch where the 120v wall power supply goes in, and if you dont want to get electricuted put the unit in a box. the homemade ones are way way WAY more powerful than the store bought ones, because the store bought have to folow cetain ruls and regualtions. home made is the cheapest, most effective, and in my mind the ONLY way to go=) peace out ThUmPeR | ||
