| I am seriously considering NOT trying to bring along a little personal smoke with me but i thought I would ask..... 1. Going on international vacation. 2. Want to bring a couple of grams with me. 3. I know that there are dope dogs in all customs areas, sniffing people and carryons. 4. Question: Will several layers of vacuum sealed bags (the ones that suck out the air, and heat seal) keep the odor down so that even a super dog couldn't smell it? I have also heard that the dogs will alert to your clothing, leather belt, etc. if you have been around pot smoke recently. I am thinking that I would be too paranoid with even a couple of grams in my underwear, so i think I am going to have to put the bud in ballons and stuff it in my GI tract, one way or another1 Any thoughts? Experiences with airport customs? Thanks for you input!! | ||

As far as entering another country it really depends on what country?? Jamacia I wouldn't sweat it one bit ... (of course you would have bring any with you there) But I am not verse on countries laws or airport strictness. Look at that countrioes MJ laws and general state of being and that will give you a good idea. maybe some of our foriegn friends here can help out with this one.And yes the dogs will hit on your clothes etc that have MJ smell on it which will get you detained and searched. Whether or not you really do have any on you. Even an empty plastic baggie totally deviod of any scrapings; if it smells like it they signal. I wonder what they would do then though with an empty plastic baggie?? Proably give you a ton of grief and a body cavity search! ugh! But here is one thing that AFOAF told me. this guy basically wrapped it layers of plastic baggies around each other and soaked each layer with a heavy dose of cologne that he wore as well. then hide it somewhere in some baggage he had with him. I not saying take this advice just sharing an experience. maybe vacuum selaed with a few layers of cologne, coffee, etc around it. Something that is pugent seems to be best. Look at me mister smuggler LB

Double, or triple wrapping of vacumn sealed bags only works of you seperate the odor from the outside of the bag. Some people first seal the material in the first bag, then completely clean the work area, the outside of the bag and their hands (maybe by wearing latex gloves the first time, then throwing the gloves away, washing their hands, then gloveing up again)with a good strong detergent. Then they seal the first bag however many times they feel they need to for security. They make sure nothing that had contact with MJ or any other illegal substance comes in contact with them or the sealed bag. Body cavity carries are very common place and the Customs officers of most countries are trained to look for signs of such. Most of the time they look for the large scale carriers who exhibit signs such as distended abdomens, uncomfortable gait, presence of KY jel, and anit-diarreha/stomach gas medicine. Customs does watch outbound flights, but mostly for people taking cash or assets out of the country. The Customs Academy trains the Inspectors to look for signs of nervousness, evasion, etc in spotting smugglers. Have the details of your travels firmly in your mind, buy your tickets in advance, with a credit card if possible, make sure all of your paperwork is in order, and most of all FIND OUT ABOUT THE DRUG LAWS OF THE COUNTRY YOU ARE VISITING! Remember, smuggling is a federal felony and can draw much heavier fines and penalties than simple possession in a state setting. Zero tolerance standards usually means that even small amounts will get you arrested. The border has a unique status in that many of our civil rights protections do not extend to the border. Customs has Border Search Authority, which means that the courts have found that our Nation's inherent need for secure borders allows Customs officers to search without the need for probable cause as is needed in most other situations. Courts have held that you give up certain rights when you transit the international border, both coming and going. It is always best to leave any illegal items at home when travelling abroad.

| Thanks for your words of wisdom. Before I go to Costa Rica, I am buying new clothes that don't smell like dope. And I ain't stuffing anything down my underwear. Spending too much money on my rainforest vacation to screw it up! But...hmmm.....I could swallow a couple of grams in a few ballons....that shouldn't cause a problem. But I think I will start practicing soon. Don't like the idea of digging through poo though! | ||
