Today, at around 1 pm, there was a twin-prop rotor plane doing continuous circles around a 4 block area, and my home is bang in the middle of that circle. I couldn't see any markings on the plane except that the tail fin was a dark blue. I saw this when I was looking out of the window in my loft in my new house, (about a block away) and quickly rushed home to take my cannabis plants, which were in my back garden, and put them in the garage where a plane wouldn't be able to see them.

Now I don't know for sure whether it was a police airplane, however, it has been known that the local police force DOES have planes going around every now and then searching for escaped criminals and watching for any crime being commited on the street at night...

It looked like it could be no more than 500-1,000 feet above the ground, as it was underneath the clouds and it looked about an inch long....

Does anybody know if they could have spotted my plants from that height?

Not without super vision... An inch long? That would make your plants appear 5mm long if they were 8 feet tall. Take that and the turbulance from the props and you have a bunch of cops looking at a bunch of nothing. Hope this eases your mind. By the way, you did the right thing by putting your plants inside. Cops may be on foot if a convict escaped or what not. "Well, we didn't find John Doe, but we did find some lovely cannabis plants!"

......but I doubt they were using that plane to spot your few plants.

If your whole backyard was filled up, that is another story.

Yeah, that all eases my mind, but it just freaked the shot out of me how it kept circling and circling right over my block....I have 5 plants, each about a foot tall...

I'm thinking now that it would be espcially hard to see them because they were in a plane, not a chopper, so they would have a limited field of vision what with the windows and all...
