Security on this message board

What sort of security measures are in place on this board? For example, I notice that the message board logs IP's. What's to stop the FEDs from getting this information? That worries me... if there is no guarantee of anonimity here then I think I will unplug.

There is only one person that has access to the member database and that is Rick/Sativa the Webmaster and Supreme Being of Marijuana.Com. He has answered this concern a number of times, so I'll try a search of this forum to see if I can find a post of his that explains why there is no reason to fear the man on this site.

I'd like to know how he keeps the database secure. Just from an IP a person could be tracked down... and THIS board could be used in court as evidence to convict! I'd feel alot better if the IP's were not logged. What is the reason for logging IP's on this type of message board?

ack...my bad. I normally DO NOT run IP services on this domain for obvious reasons. I will disable this feature immediately.

Please accept my apologies on this...it was an over site, IP Logging is on by default on this BB system.

I feel better already rick. It's not that I don't trust people on this site, but if something were to happen... I'd rather that the FED's don't hit a goldmine in leads....

Thanks for disabling IP logging - have any disk logs with this info been purged? (just checking)
