Sky, I have stated my "official" postion on busting growers in the past. I have never busted anyone for simple possession. If the grow is small, I simply eradicate it. I will not turn my back on violations that are presented to me, but I would go looking for them. When I became a cop, I told my friends that if they didn't put me in a tight spot, I wouldn't put them in one.

I have never lied about any of my investigations, and absolutly refuse to support any other cop who does. As a rookie, I turned in a veteran cop for beating a handcuffed prisoner to the Watch Commander. I wasn't real popular with the other beat cops, but then I'm not doing this to be popular.

No don't send my your names or email addresses. If you absolutly feel the need to email me or any other cop, look up the name and address of the local District Attorney's Office, write it down, then go to one of the free e-mail services, and sign up for a free e-mail address. Use the local DA's name and address as your name for the service. Use the local Kinko's computer to log on and e-mail away

I wish there were more cops like you out there. This WOD is so stupid and vicious and penalizes so many genuinely good people. Perhaps if more of the establishment felt as you do, we would not be in this position. Just one guys opinion.

OK, GW that seems like a good answer. If you went over this before I'm sorry for the repetition. I didn't see the other post you spoke of. It may be in the archives but I'm not sure how to find a specific thing like that and with the loss of the member database I don't know if I could or not. I've been following this board for several months and may have simply missed your other post. I imagine there are other members that missed it too and were curious.

Keeping in mind that you are anonymous here maybe I could ask a few follow up questions? Are you a smoker and do you grow? You say you have never busted anyone for simple possesion but you also say you will not turn your back on "violations that are presented to me" Does that mean if you catch a kid with a bag you won't bust him/her? Does it depend on whether or not there are witnesses? You go on to say "...but I would go looking for them" Do you mean you wouldn't go looking for them? If you don't grow or use why would you spend time here? You say "No don't send me your names or email addresses" Would you feel compelled to turn that info over to the narcs if you got it?

It's admirable that you won't lie to get convictions despite the fact that it makes you unpopular with the rank and file. One of the sad by products of the wod is the fact that a lot of cops have been turned into professional liars in the zeal to wipe out this "menace" Turning in a cop for beating a handcuffed prisoner takes a lot of courage. If I made a blunder I would hope the cop that discovered it was like you but I know I can't count on that.

I'm just trying to clarify your position a little more. I think it will make the others feel more at ease.

Sky, No I don't grow, and no I don't smoke. When I was in uniform, I would give the "kid with a bag" the opportunity to put it in a "neutral" location and then not let anyone "claim" it. It would get destroyed as "found contraband." I hope it is clear to everyone, I read these posts because they help me stay up to speed on what is new in my field. I conduct myself the the same whether I am alone of there are other "cop witnesses." The least anyone can do is be true to your beliefs.

I put many commercial growers in jail, especially those who grow on public lands.

p.s. I guess in the classic sense of the word I am a "narc." More than 90% of my time is spent in various controlled substance violation investigations. I spent almost 4 years doing the undercover thing with DEA.

You can add me to the list of admirers. I think you have a lot of integrity, and I wish more folks did!

Personally, I've worried and pondered over what might happen if I were to choose to grow at my home (we own), and some scum breaks in, steals our stuff, and the police are called by neighbors when we're not there. My worst nightmare would be if the police, in the course of doing their job searching my house for the bad guys, found a few plants (by "a few", I mean from 1 to 5), and took my husband and me to jail just because some scum chose to victimize us.

I figured that the BEST I could possibly hope for would be that the cops would just confiscate or destroy the plants, and leave it at that. Actually, I'd be really grateful for that sort of treatment, as opposed to the other!

Keep on doing the right thing! We need more good LEO's!

My post in indoor growing was censored, probably by wolfman, without a trace. It was a reply to SeenTooMuch in which he expressed admiration for the character Psychotic and apparently for the act of murder. I tried to question that, my post was not a flame just an inquiry. Near as I can recall my post was the following:

Are you saying murder is OK? Do you admire Charles Manson or Ted Bundy. I know there are some who admire these people but I don't. Just trying to find out what you mean.

STM seems to have left a reply but I didn't get to read it because the moderator (W?) chose to remove that also. He chose not to remove the post that showed approval for murder. I think this place would do much better without the heavy hand of censorship. Maybe STM didn't mean what he seemed to say at all but I didn't get to find out. My post and the reply wasn't moved elsewhere, it just vanished. The censorship seems to be arbitrary and depends on the personal prejudice of the individual moderator. If the ownership of this board has a problem with me I don't mind taking my business elsewhere. I'm an experienced grower and you don't see me asking newbie questions all the time. I come here primarily to help others and can easily find another forum. It may be that it's a loose cannon who has taken it on himself to get on my case. I'm down to only one proxy which works on this board and when it stops working I'm gone anyway. I refuse to discuss my grow without all precautions in place. I posted on this in the appropriate forum but got no answer.

I made my objections to the post that seemed to praise murder and other crimes for a reason;. Just because we break the laws on cannabis doesn't mean we are common criminals who will kill and steal whenever the opportunity presents itself. I happen to think we are mostly decent folk engaged in acts of civil disobedience. Many of the civil rights we have today came as the result of civid disobedience. At one time blacks had to sit at the back of the bus. That plus religious, political and other personal expressions were forbidden by law at one time or another. GW, you are trained to respect the law but you see the law itself changing. You seem to understand that. I believe we will see these unjust laws changed in our lifetime. The change has already started and I'm looking forward to the final victory.

You can say that "Psychotic" is a fictional character and I shouldn't get worked up about what he is doing. This is a good point and I recognise the fact that Mr Psychotic has a lot of talent. We are lucky to have him here entertaining us. He is a lot more interesting than the usual newbie asking questions. I have no problem with him in fact I admire his writing abilities. The line between fiction and reality is blurred here and there exists the possibility we are hearing about real events. I don't want to get into a debate on that point right now. In the story for those who haven't been following it, Psychotic is sent away for life to a mental facility with very little security. He told us he killed his wife and two or more other people. In the mental ward he is able to steal large amounts of material, grow pot, has his own computer and bangs the nurses.

TSM, this is not a flame against you. I questioned your admiration for psychotic largely because you made referrence to the murders. If you had said you admired his resourcefulness or something I would have kept quiet. You have a right to say it's OK to kill and I have a right to say it isn't. Threads like the psychotic one tend to reinforce the biases people have against growers and users. It makes us look like criminals which we are not.

If you wish to discuss members moral or feel like having what it takes to judge others having in your hands the light of universal wisdom, you can go right to overgrow or CW or any other website you can find but you won't do it here!
I allow some oftopic posts that i personaly consider capable of keeping a good spirit around and therefore harmeless, others do it as well; that wasn't your case so...

If you want to help, do it!If you wanna persist with that kind of attitude, i will have to delete more posts then i would like to, not exactly a big deal.

BTW, the one responding to your post was Psicotic and not STM, and as you're a lucky guy, i still have a copy of the reply...


Now, if Panama decides to allow this kind of discussion to persist here, it's up to him but i won't have it on indoor growing, not from you and not from psicotic!

Last thing to say, as far as i know the administrator of this boards as no problem with you, but honestly speaking, i'm beggining to have.

Sykwalker, you brought an off topic thread from another forum to this one and expect it to continue? Well, Wolfman has made a point and a damn good one it is. While I'm not an Administrator on this site the 2 Admin's for HC.Com answer to me and I to Rick Garcia, so do not take my warning lightly. You are welcome to post here on these boards as long as you stay on topic. You say you are leaving our boards anyway and we prefer to use banning as a last resort, but if you can not post by the rules put forth by the staff here then you will not be allowed to post here at all.
