should i be worried about purchasing 1000 watt hps/mh light on ebay?

i bought one of those new sun systems those companies sell on ebay and had it delivered to my door in mid-december.

i'm thinking that they can call the dea on me. has anyone else done this? im really nervous now about growing

If you are really worried, stick the light in a closet unused for a couple months....

Online and storefront grow stores are in the business of selling product, not getting customers busted. Word gets around quick in our community of growers - if a store was busting people we would know soon enough what was up.

Best to lay low though if you are feeling this much heat before getting your grow started. Give it a few weeks as TokeJay suggested.

Agreed. That would be kinda like a drug dealer reporting his clients.

If it makes you feel any better... I bought a 1000 watter off ebay and I should be turning it on tomorrow when the bulb comes in. I'm not too worried.

The last I heard, buying lights was not illegal. Ebay is very safe, I use it quite often. IMO, its probably the safest way to buy online.--

most people are in the business of making money when they sell things, reporting customers to the DEA would be bad business. the only thing about ebay is your dont know who is selling the lights, if it is someone that produces or sells lots of them and has plenty of good feedback then i wouldnt worry about it but if it is someone that is a new member or has little to no feedback i might be a bit wary of dealing with them. anyways, you should be fine the DEA usually doesn't go after people with smaller indoor setups that grow for personal use they have bigger fish to catch.
