| Cepedare, if you can afford it I'd get water cooled lights, not only do they produce bud faster/better, they are completely stealth from the air. There are 3 companies I've seen that have these one is www.hydroponics.co.uk/html/hydrostar.html the other 2 are at http://www.greenair.com/water-lights.htm and these really aren't that expensive compared to normal HID lights etc. | ||

![]() | I'm not completely sure how infrared detection works. I think it looks for infrared colored photons. If this is the case, copper collects photons (I heard they use this in highly sensitive areas involving computers) so line your room with copper. In order for this to work there needs to be absolutly no light leaks. This usally means having a type of pre-entrance that you have to enter before you enter the growroom. At least one is closed at all times. I'll need to do some more research before I'm 100% on this. | ||

| I'm pretty damn sure, infrared detection simply works by them detecting massive amounts of heat. A 2 1000w lights or even 1, put off A LOT of heat. This heat has to go somewhere, and it probably doesn't look like just an oven or a tv to them. This is one of the main reasons I'd use water cooled lights, I'm growing outside at the moment myself tho ![]() | ||
