I grow marigolds and some assorted other flowers and that confuses the smell enough that it doesnt matter. If someone asks I just point to my flowers. I mean our love of growing shouldnt be limited to buds should they? *runs to check his ladies*

but all I currently use is a negative ion generator. This seems to work well on my smaller grows - very low odor inside and no odor outside. However, my current grow is a bit bigger so I'm looking into an ozone generator.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | There is this thing called an RTO. What you do is burn the air before exhausting it to destroy any odor causing particles. We used one at a plant where I used to work to get rid of phenols from the coating we used on our wires. You could literally smell the plant from miles away, even though they are harmless people complained of BS symptoms so we installed an RTO.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | My 8 plants are starting to get a little funky, so instead of spraying chemicals in the air, or running the Ionizer all day (those damn hepa filters are expensive!) I placed a box of arm & hammer floral bouquet baking soda, the kind that you add to cat litter boxes, next to the grow area. I cannot smell a thing now. The stuff absorbs the smell and the floral scent completely masks any lingering odor. Also, my friend will get me Urinal Cakes from his Job at the board of Ed. soon. (Yeah i said Urinal cakes lol) Trust me, these things are Almost perfect to control odor. He had 1 in his garage to mask a musty smell, and it worked. Those things can mask the ammonia and urea in urine, so its powerful. (may be a bit overpowering but id say its prob better than getting caught) Just dont go picking one out of the toilet folks, try getting a fresh one please ![]()

![]() | I guess we are still replying to this thread, after a Year. Well, I am using a 400 MH and a 600HPS in a mother in-laws room over the garage. I grow in 5 gallon buckets "Black Gold style." I evacuate the air from my room into the backyard every hour. The only odor control I utilize are the Emus ****ting in my backyard! Grow on! ![]()

![]() | I have read somewhere that splashing water creates negative ions which neutralizes the odors in the air. Not sure if it is cheap to make. What I suggest is getting a flat tub, a bottle of the odor eater strays(the ones where you can spray into a stinkin garbage can and it will smell good), and an old style of the aquarium filter that works like a waterfall. Mix the odor eater with water and mount the filter (I suggest don't use any of the water filtering material though) so that it can create as big a waterfall as posible over the tub. Find some sort of lid that fits over the tub but let enough room for the water to return to the tub, mylar the tub and lid of course. With circulation the system should work, although it might create Humidity problems. There is another method I've read that sounds promising that is getting a cheap ionizer and attach it to the plants. It ionizes the plants and eliminates the odors although the author warned that the static buildup will give a slight shock to whatever that touches the plant. Anyways, good luck with your battle. ![]()
