I'm just curious.....

Gone. The plants would be gone.

If I could find somewhere besides the grow site to dry them, great. Otherwise I would take a complete loss.

I don't mess with freedom.

Be safe,
Plains
I was wondering. I cant help agreeing with you and I read a lot of stuff about the security and paranoia in the US. But my question is, if you dont mess with freedom, why do it at all if things are so shaky?

I'm about the least paranoid person there is and I must admit, I dont think i'd have the balls if I was in the US (going by whats written here) and i'm a believer in dont do the crime if you cant do the time so im curious about your philosophy in these situations and as I said, why do it at all if the risk is so high.

Another thought.....If the pro MJ people are sooooooooo security conscious, doesnt this give the wrong message, or HELP the cause of the suppressors?

My own grow was spotted just two days ago but theres no way i'm gonna chop the plants.

As with everything you must weigh the pro's and con's to any situation and be prepared for the worst.

The state I live in, I can have up to a pound of weed and still be charged with a misdemeanor. I also keep records of my harvests and my consumption so in case the umimaginable happens, I can at least make the case that it is all personal.

I also am a hermit.

If I had people coming in and out of my house all the time, I wouldn't be growing.

The risk isn't that high at all in my situation. In fact, it would be rather amazing to me that I get busted for the small grow I do in the privacy of my home.
I don't talk, I don't show off and I don't sell. Reduces the risk enormously.

You might have a point there. I can't see an alternative in my country unless the majority of growers are ready and willing to go to jail for the cause.
Much as I am pro-legalization, I am pro my family more.

Peace,
Plains

Hi Plains...

Thanks for clearing that up. I think you make some good points, it highlights that probably everyone on here has their own set of circumstances in home and life and their own risk assessment and motivators.

You can tell that some of these posts are bordering panic, i dont know whether to laugh or cry. Its a real dilemma over risk, paranoia and your beloved weed as to keep them or cut them in this type of situation.

As much as I may come across as being blase about growing MJ, I still have my fair share of secrecy, I just try not to worry myself.

Anyway.....happy toking.

I had a similar experience. This little Mexican guy, throwing out trash working at the pizza parlor that backs up to my apartment saw me checking my plant on the fire escape and he starting laughing . . . . so I got paranoid and brought that baby inside. Not to mention that my landlord owns and works at the pizza parlor.

Nothing happened (praise the Lord) and she is now happily living a more sheltered life in the closet.

But this October has been extremely sunny, and I can't help thinking she would have been better off going completely au natural . . .

Oh well, can't complain, there's some fat buds awaiting harvest.

Funny story . . . .
permalink

This summer I grew on my fire escape in Brooklyn, but at one point I got paranoid and brought it back inside (early October). I had a neighbor who was always out in his garden so I was afraid he might report me.

Well this morning I just noticed, next to his peppers and tomatoes, guess what? A big ol' ganga plant!!!

What ticks me off is I think he got the idea from me!

Yeah well I'm serious. We should start a movement where everyone takes all the seeds he / she has and dumps them all over the woods everywhere from Florida to Maine, California to New York, and eventually the weed will grow everywhere, unchecked and unstoppable, like kudzu. Or someone should cross kudzu with weed!

No I'm not really mad at this guy, but I am sure he wouldn't have had the balls to grow a plant of his own if he hadn't seen mine one story up, waving in the breeze.

What can I say? I'm a trailblazer!
