I've got a quick question on paper trails or credit card order history. If LEO was to get a hold of my credit card orders, would they be able to find out exactly what I ordered or would it just show up as "johndoehemp.com" or something similar? I'm just curious how LEO goes about tracking credit card information. Thanks,

Under new laws passed by the Bush/Cheney regime allow FBI and other Justice Administration officials to obtain your records from certain institutions like libraries, book sellers, banks, airlines, travel agencies, hotels, etc. without the use of a warrant. I am not sure this pertains to all businesses, but it probably does.

They do not need to get a subpoena. A letter is sent to the institution demanding your records along with a warning that it is illegal to inform you that your records have been requested.

In reality though, that means the FBI would have to contact your credit card company and get those records. Then they would have to contact johndoehemp.com for their records. In the case of lights, nutes, etc. that still wouldn't prove you were doing anything illegal. This also assumes that johndoehemp.com is in the U.S. The FBI obviously has no legal way of obtaining the records of someone in Canada or Amsterdam.

Maybe if you are buying from a seed bank with a credit card they could get a judge to issue a search warrant, but I think they would still need other evidence. Seems like a lot of trouble to go after a small growing operation.

I think most of the indoor gardens that get popped come from neighbors diming you or some unrelated incident like LEO coming to your house because the music is too loud.

Thanks for the input, Hydrobud. I should've thought about it but it does seem like LEO would have a hard time obtaining records from another country. Thanks again for the reassurance,
