No telling to ANYBODY. Get the seeds from somewhere safe. No bragging to anyone. I know this to be hard, but you just can't trust people. Even when you smoke them out don't thell where it's from.

Be prepared to remove and destroy the plants any day.

Everyone in the same apartment will eventually know about your garden. You can't avoid that. If you can't trust your roommates, you can't grow.

Oh yeah, and be ready to get caught. Think about it beforehand. What would you do?

Well it really depends if u live on campus or not. What would be a good idea is to spend some time meeting people and finding like minded friends. Then u could try an rent a flat or something and live off campus, allowing you to grow. Anyhow thats what i'm planning to do (i live in england by the way, where the rules aren't as tight as in the US, so i can't really advising u go ahead if the situation is different).

Hello everyone.
I am currently considering growing one or two plants in my college dorm room and am worried about a couple of issues. First of all I intend to build an enclosed, ventilated greenhouse (or possibly use a broken fridge??) to grow the plants in my closet. Does anyone know how bad the odor would get and how conspicuous my operation would be(assuming I will be growing 2 plants at most? I am also worried about fire safety because since I intend to use a miniature greenhouse, depending on my choice of lights things could get pretty hot. Any advice?
If anyone else has grown in a college room please share your experience.

Hello and welcome!

IMHO, i really think you should consider this thought of yours one more time.
First of all, if you get busted, you will probably be expelled.
Second...You will probably also be charged with several charges, like Marijuana cultivation, Possesion of illegal drugs, and such.

What ever you decide to do, think twice.
You can always start growing this wonderful herb, when you are finished with your studies.

But on the other hand, this is my personal opinion.

Yep, that's a bad idea bud. Wait till you get outta school, then you can grow a huge crop and not worry about too much

or at the least get off campus .. and check out what they will do to you by your campuses rules ..

needless to say, its a rather risky propesition and isn't worth the possible trouble ..IMHO

Don't forget about the new law they passed that if you get a felony or drug charges that instantly become ineligible for ANY type of scholarship or grant program from the gov!
