Exclamation Ozone Generating Compact Fluorescent 23-Watt Bulb - Safe?

I was looking in my local Hydro Mag and I found this! It seems to be a great alternative to expensive Ozone Generators and if set on a correct Timer, could probly be set in a grow box, if not in the direct/immediate area. But how safe is this Titanium Dioxide Coated Bulb? Safe to run 24/7? Thanks for your review!

Featuring a specialized titanium dioxide coating, the 23-watt Ozone Compact Fluorescent Bulb provides an innovative and inexpensive alternative to ionizers and costly air purifiers. The Ozone Compact Fluorescent Bulb emits a light output equal to a 100-watt incandescent bulb and simultaneously eliminates airborne bacteria, mold, viruses, fungi, smoke and household odors. Fits almost anywhere a standard light bulb can be used.

Rating: 4.5I put one of these in my laundry room where the cat box (yuck) is located. Surprisingly it works! No more litter smell! The longer I leave it on the better it works, and since its a compact fluorescent running it all the time isn't expensive.

Hi garden this;

Personaly, I tell everyone that ozone is downright bad It litteraly eats your lungs

unless your venting outside that is... then you'd be okay

If that bulb is safe to use around humans, which it must be... then it seems unlikely that it could have the mg/hr ozone output sufficient enough to kill the odor of a grow even if you left it running all the time... Of course this depends on the size of your grow and stage during flowering... (cant have that during the dark cycle though anyway)

Not that fourty bucks is a huge investment, but you might want to remeber that you get get 5 lbs of activated carbon for about the same price. Add some inginuity and you've got an effective air scrubber.

Soo perhaps that bulb would be worth a try, but dont hold your hopes high.

Peace,
