I'd be all for locking the armoir and making it look inaccessable. Few boxes on top (one covering the ballast, a work shirt and pants hanging off it 'for work tomorrow' shoes infront....you get the idea. Hell, he may not even go into your room or garage. He may just want to look at the heater and leave!

Vernon,I think that if he said he wanted to inspect the New Hot water Heater
thats probably what he will do.
Even if he does an inspection he just will be looking for damage to his property.
If you have everything in a cabinet you should be fine, at the most I believe
that he may glance in every room just to look for damage.
I don't know the situation as well as you do but I would go for the clothes idea and cover the ballast.
Make sure there are not extension cords all over the place.
Of course make sure his initial impression of the house is a good one so he's not looking for stuff.
Have the entry way and kitchen in great shape.
Usually if things look good the might glance in bedrooms.

Leave them in your cab, lock it, and you should be fine. He's not going to ask to look in your wardrobe or anything like that he's just going to take a quick look around. (I would assume) unless he's been tipped off about someting (since he's coming for a water heater, he probably hasn't been tipped off

Why all the extra work, why not just leave them in the wardrobe? If it don't smell, make noise, or look out of place, there shouldn't be a problem.

I do not think that a landlord has the right to look through your personal belongings anyhow, but I am no lawyer.

i personally would just camo the area up, and not pay a bit of attention it. if he hasnt been tipped of, he is just there to check and make sure you havent knocked any holes in the dry wall and make sure the kitchen sink is still where he had it installed. if he asks what it is and knows your growing something in it. just tell him its some rare flower that your growing, and its in its dark cycle right now and it wont bloom if you open it up..

Yeah, leave them where they are. You could get one of those inflatable dolls or big dildo and leave them on your bed or hanging from the wardrobe. That ought to make him leave quickly. That would be better than exposing yourself to the plague.

Please don't do this idea.

Just straighten up the place and leave a few clothes around so the place looks lived in.

After you both look at the hot water heater in the basement tell him to look around while you change your clothes to go out somewhere.
That way he probably won't go near your room.

P.S.
Thats also a good time to pay the rent.

I have had to deal with some inspectors/landlords around my grow area. When they came by i was in full bloom, and I did what you suggested. Putting them in the back of your car.

I have a truck so they fit well inside and additionally I have limo-tinting on all windows so no one could see if they were to venture into my garage.


Just please, whatever you do, leave the dildos out of this one.

well I just spoke to my landlord for the first time on the phone, before it had been through a rental agency that he pays that I pay rent to and so on, so it was all third hand information so i just told them to give me his number and I would get it squared away.

He said it wouldn't take but a few minutes to look at the water heater and he didnt' want to look at anything else, so he won't even need to go in the house. I do plan on talking to him about a couple of other things in the house that are small and not really worth calling a repair man for to see if I can fix them myself and have the money subtracted from my rent, so I will probably actually bring him into the house to show him. But it is only in the kitchen and won't take but a few minutes, and that way he won't think i'm paranoid about him being there. He seems like a pretty cool dude over the phone and is driving 4 hours to look at my house for 10 minutes. I will just burn some nag champa, clean up the empty beer bottles and put my dirty laundry in the hamper.
