New Acceptable use policy
permalink

As everybody knows our community has undergone a great change to protect us personally and the database of infomation from people who want to take these things away from us. I have been looking through the security threads, many of them old and from a pre-GC.com date.. It looks as if S2 has been running around like mad closing threads that do not meet our new policies .
I think S2 would appreciate it if we all read this new policies but at the same time it looks as if it might be time to put and end to the Security thread unless we can make some changes.
"You will not use these forums to violate any laws. The use of GardnesCure.com is intended for Medical Marijuana patients who have been previously prescribed the use of Marijuana by a registered physician."
I have been meditating on this subject and I think its important that we should discuss any ideas and concerns that effect the security forum.

If the way this site stays open is to shift responsibility from rick to individual users, then so be it. I'd rather have it that way then the alternative, which is no site at all. That being said, even registered medical users need security from ripoffs, nosy neighbors and other busybodies. And even with state protections, we all need security from Los Federales, at least here in the US. I'd say the Security forum is as timely as ever, however each post needs to conform to the new posting guidelines.

My

I think we should shift the direction not towards secuirty from rip-offs and the like, but more towards securing your grow area just as a gun would have to be secured if children live in the same house. You know, responsible cultivation...or Responsible Cultivation.

Remember, just my

Ok folks, i read the post... pondered it, smoked, pondered.... and came up short. Ok.... what do you mean by "specifically avoiding LEO" S2? i have some opinions but i'm not quite sure what is being said. its just that i've read some of those old posts and threw my in trying to help someone out in a tough spot. Due to the current laws on the books, avoiding LEO is pretty much the only security issues there is with numerous contributing factors that can lead to just that. so, i have a hard time finding the idea simple, but not to say its a bad one. Then again, I don't like thinking there is someone on here who puts each members security at risk with their foolishness and rhetoric that could lead to the closure of the sight. so, its a tough one for me. I just think that you should consider some of the unexpected security issues you've had and how thinkin on your feet got you outta of sticky situation. I have been in those circumstances and it would've been a lot nicer if I had someone else giving me pointers on being intelligent and reducing the situation in its entirety. so, i go back to asking what "specifically avoiding LEO" means.

the one thing I do know is that I am a responsible adult, i will adhere to the wishes of the site in pure respect for the future it promises for us as a community, BUT.... I can tell you that you administrators are gonna have your hands full w/ young cats running amok all over the site steppin on toes and mouthin off. its a toss up. I'm just along for the ride

Good point, we are in kind of a greay area here. When is it ok to discuss avoiding LEO and when is it not? Or is it not acceptable to discuss LEO at all ? In that case we need to shift our discussion more towards stealth or avoiding detection by anybody.

This is a little unclear, its ok to discuss security protection from Federal Agents? Is this because local and state medical marijuana laws protect us?

Thanks for the well thought out responses guys, keep em comming

alright, that having been said.... I understand now. In other words be as keen as you are at the hydro store?!? you know, get to the point and avoid all the big clues out. Easy enough. Better yet, i've always adhered to that when posting in this forum. Besides the occassional pics for a visual understanding of a situation, i actually never go into detail about that. I've been known to ramble on about type stuff from time to time, but those rules seem simple enough.

Once again, I must say that the admin and moderators are going to be puttin in some O.T. trying to keep a handle on good ole stupidity at every turn. None the less I respect you all the more for doing what must be done in the best interest of the site. Thank you

Cant we still be charged for a federal crime if we are growing for prescribed medicinal purposes anyways?

By the way, I LOVE the new policy. It was pretty much the unspoken rule prior to the down time. This will help the site.

I vote for no deletion of security forum.
