i am not sure i need to be concerned yet nor do iwant to spread any unjust negativity

but i do have a problem with my order from the drchron

i sent email - responce said he doesnt have time to deal with my issue until after april 10th - after april 10th i should resend my order problem and he will address it then - but no word on what that means exactly

here is the deal (leaving out quantity)

i placed order - gave proper address

order was returned to sender - sender didnt put unit # in address

breeder emailed and asked me to verify addy

i did and breeder said he would re-ship

shortly later i recieved package in mail - i never opened it - i just put it in my closet until i needed it

few months passed - i opened package and only got 1/3 of what i paid for - i ordered serious seeds so they are not cheapies

i ordered 3 varieties and only got 1

anyone else ever had an issue like this? can anyone tell me what you think the dr might do?

i ordered with money order - i do have email copies showing correspondence of order and order #

i copied him on all i had

sorry to hear of your troubles, Bag. I doubt the Doc will listen to a problem that is mnonths old. I have gotten multiple shipments, though, on larger seed orders. I bet you receieved 1 of a couple shipments and the others got snagged.

also to add to the story

the first time they shipped - it was returned to sender since they didnt put proper address

at that time it was one package return to sender - not 2 or 3

given the circumsatnces i beleive it was an error - not an interception

but you never know

the only thing i have in my favor as an argueing point is the fact that the original order was returned - for this reason i hope they recognize the way it looks as a consumer

Most seed banks want to protect their reputations so even if it takes a while I bet you get your seeds. But in the future always check your orders as soon as you receive them.

ok

well im happy to report - the doc and i came to an agreement that i can live with

since he originally sent me my order and he forgot to put the unit # i provided and i argued that this issue added to the reason i never recieved my full order since re-sending it again would cause a higher risk going through customs more than one time

we have agreed to share responsibilty for packages being intercepted by customs

we have agreed he would re-send 1/2 of the balance due and i would eat the other half -
this seems fair to me and i have no complaints

i must say - he could have easily told me to bug off and i wouldnt have been able to do anything about it - i believe there willingness to find an agreement to which we both can live with and the professional responces i recieved from them is worth some praize

i have not yet recieved the balance - but he has said it was shipped

so thanks to the doc for being honorable

I can say this speaking from experience. Most of the really good seedbanks bend over backwards to get their beans to us. And given the harsh political and legal environment of today, they sometimes do more than they have to or that we, atleast in the US deserve for them to do.
The Doc is no exception. In my dealings with him he has always been courteous and honest. All his beans have always arrived in a timely fashion. When there was a problem, using basic social skills we all learned in kindergarden of communicating a grievance has always received a response.
His reputation is secure on these forums

well more bad news - its been over 1 month and i still have not recieved the partial order of beans the doc and i agreed apon

doesnt the post office usually send a letter notiftying you they found contra band in your mail ?

assuming it was shipped and caught in the mail that is!

it suprises me that the mail would get it since over many years of ordering contra band of a variety i have never had an issue with seizures

has anyone else ever gotten there beans nabbed and did they get a notice from the post office?

I don't know which shipping method you ask the Doc to use but for whatever reason it sure seems like a dead end. Sad, yes, but that's a dead horse IMO.

Let it go, try SeedsDirect or another place...
