here's the story: I ordered seeds about 5-6 weeks ago....they never showed up. I've been emailing seedsdirect for about 2-3 weeks trying to find out what's been going on. I recieved no letter from customs...which makes me think they were never sent in the first place. They probably think I was trying to scam them or something.....I'm just trying to get my damn seeds! I used paypal to send the $ because I figured I would get my seeds quicker that way. Wrong. This was my frist experience w/ these guys and I can surely say it will be my last. here's the email transcripts:

I originally went to seedsdirect because of their good deals---I'm never making that mistake again. I am a college student and I actually thought my seeds would arrive in the 1.5 months before I go back to school.......needless to say...I found seeds direct to be rude, incosiderate, and bascially a big pain in the ass....not to mention that I am now out of $160.

well I'm sorry to hear this... :-( I don't know what to tell you... I'm not sure that this is their fault... I believe that your mail but have got lost... which is not their fault neither... I mean... this is a risk that you take since you cannot use any kind of private services like fedEx or whatever else...

I hope you can find some compromises with them...

Unfortunately as you can see by Gypsy's 2 last emails.....he has no intention of giving me a refund and re-sending the seeds. Sure, their records show that the seeds were sent out....but my records show that I never got them. Bottom line is that he has my $160, and I have nothing to show for it. Just wanted to let you all know about this so that if your order from seedsdirect "miraculasly" doesn't show up.....you'll know that Gypsy isn't going to do a damn thing about it.....besides keep your money.

SmokyRobnsn, well the problem is that they don't want to refund... because it's business and it can be a loss... I don't feel that they won't send them again... but the problem is that you want it send to a new address... so now on their point of view... it's like... is this guy SmokyRobnsn, really SmokyRobnsn? or is it somebody trying to scam us? they need to cover themselves like they cover their clients...

I don't know what you can do...

Are you absolutely certain that you haven't received some mysterious package that you thought was just junk mail? I have known several people who have received the seeds without realising it until a few weeks later...the stealth packaging really is that good

I havent ordered from any seed banks yet but plan to in the future, I understand where gypsy is comin from but its things like this that make me mark them outta my selection Just not worth risking. I'm satisfied with Cinderella 99 right now though so it will be a while before I order

yeah I do understand that they could think that I was trying to scam them.....and yes, I AM sure that I haven't recieved the seeds. I don't think anything's going to be "settled"....gypsy just "left it at that" in his last email. In the end, I'm pretty sure that my seeds were sent....they just got lost somehow...and I'm the one who ends up gettin screwed, because of the way Gypsy does business...... Just wanted to warn all you guys.

While I understand where you're coming from I'd just like to put my personal experience out there. I've had nothing but good luck and kind service from SD and my beans are growing as we speak. Sorry to hear about your luck man, that really sucks ....could you try sending them a letter asking them how they would suggest resolving the conflict? I know it sucks to kind of bend over and take it so to speak and swallow your pride but a lot of companies (mine included) are usually a bit nicer to those who are a little less hostile! Good luck man, keep us posted.

You have my sympathy for losing your seeds but I think you only have yourself to blame for Gypsy's attitude. It is clear from the emails that his attitude changed as soon as you insinuated that maybe they hadn't sent the seeds at all - before you said that his attitude was "We will sort this out for you", as soon as you question his honesty it all changes. Starting this thread with a defamatory statement isn't going to help your cause either.

My experience with Gypsy is entirely different. I bought several strains a few months ago including Leda Uno which had an appallingly low germination rate. I emailed them recently to tell them this and ask for some replacement seeds, I did so courteously and without recrimination and they immediately mailed me back to say that they would send me an extra free pack of Nirvana seeds with my next order, I am more than satisfied with this.
