i didn't get a choice this time and i received ppp. are you saying they are fem? that's cool by me. i have one that i tried and it germed so that's great.
i got sam the skunk the year b4 and not one ever germed.

and fyi....i ordered the dj true blueberry and had terrible germ rates!!! i'm kinda pissed. i have 3 that finally popped but they are smaller than the rest...hoping for a female!...otherwise i'll be really pissed as they weren't cheap. i also read that there were phonies floating around....oh well time will tell.

litebuzz, I don't know if the PPP is fem'ed, just going by the fact regular Nirvana PPP are 10 pack only, and the only 5 pack PPP they list is fem'ed. We'll see I guess.

The PPP is a secondary to the kalichakra I ordered- it sounds really good, every site I've seen a review on rates the potency 8or 9/ 10, and high yields too (450-500Gr./M2).

Haven't even begun to look for them yet- order went in just a bit ago.

I've heard bad things about the germ rates on different seeds, what method do you use? I always use the rockwool, soaked with 10% of the lightest seed/veg nutes, in a warm spot. Also I don't throw them out if I get one that is slow- sometimes it takes a week more than others, but got 99-100% so far.

I Really, Really wish seedbanks would stop giving old freebies- it's like giving you free milk that's a week past it's date. On Ye Olde Gypsy Nirvana Seed Boutique, they say free seeds have been paid for by donations- however that works. Well, if someone is paying for them, and your stated purpose is to get growers to gift them to someone new to growing, give em GOOD SEEDS from a good line and you'll get that much more publicity.

But then, that wouldn't get rid of old stock.....

Been quite a few years since I ordered from Gypsy, but when I did I sent a message with my order asking if there was a different freebie available because I already had some of the current freebie growing. Worked out in my favor big time, as I only bought 1 gypsy strain for 15 bucks but got Flying Dutchman's Pot of Gold as the freebie, which at the time was a 80 dollar strain.

You are making assumptions that freebies are old stock. If they are old, I have no complaints on germination of the freebies I just received. Two out of three are sprouted and above ground now. I just put three more into soil this morning after a 48 hr. soak in plain water.

So, you consider Sam the Skunkman's freebies not a "good line"?

nope. emphasis was on the GOOD seeds part. heard a lot about the skunkmans' freebie thru Gypsy not germing well. Not here but other boards.

It may be due to the peoples Germ. methods, or just older seeds. May be the best genetics in the world, but are they just pulled out of the same bin with the purchased seeds, or are the freebies old stock that they need to get rid of?

Or does the breeder send them along, as in Gypsy orders 10,000, Sam sends 12,000 with the understanding that the extra 2k are freebies?

That's my question with Attitude too- lots of people feel sketchy about G13 Labs genetics and/or seeds. Yet they also offer another line, Mandala, that I have yet to hear anything bad about the Germ rates or the genetics (bearing in mind it's $35/10)......so are freebies like G13 just old stock they need to clear out? Or get attention for a little-known or grown strain?

I know Sam's got good genetics, but the seeds may be old enough to affect germ rates in a hit-n-miss pattern. Without a sealed breeder's pre-counted pack with a date on it, no way to tell.

My biggest thing is this- when I've given people freebies, when I've run businesses, I always give them the good stuff, or tell them that it is last years stuff and I just need to make room.

And, N_D_Shadows, never thought of that! I asked for PPP, with #2 being Sam's. I shoulda asked for PPP or another fast flowering strain. I just don't want to fool with 12 weeks flower right now.

Thanks for the link, EMj! I'll check it out for when I get the freebies. I asked for PPP lets hope they come.

NL Special by KC Brains (so far, nothin special), Satori by Mandala, Kalichakra by Mandala next, Nirvanas' PPP as the freebies, and got Attitudes' free Wreckage by TH Seeds germing now.

I think I'm at my current limit!

None of them. Send in a extra 10 dollars for the 'Server Fund' and request a freebie. I do it ALL tthe time and always get what I ask for.

HappyChem by Karma Genetics. Happy Brother x Chemdawg

Or

Casey Jones x Black Geisha by Foomar is what I would ask for.

Clarence at Seedbay is good shit.

Bobby_604, 'splain me, please......You place an order, it comes to say $40. You send in $50, write on the order form to put the extra $10.00 towards the Server Fund, then you get to name a freebie? ? What if the freebie is $50/ten? Does it only work for cash?

Will they tell people this too, or is it a word-of-mouth secret?

EDIT= I already asked for PPP this time, next time I might try this.
