I haven't been able to find info on this from searching so... what kind of shelf life can I expect by leaving the seeds in their shipped state? What are the best ways to keep seeds for awhile if you're unable to plant them right away? And last is it even recommended at all? (due to reduced chance of germination)

the fewer the chances of germination. Irony at its finest here as we speak. No more than an hour ago I paper toweled some seeds that have been in a film canister for at least five years -who knows? If they sprout, I'll let you know. These are some seeds that I saved for some reason and they were in a plastic film canister which was inside a wooden cigar box which was inside a wooden cabinet. The best conditions for seed storage are cool, dry, dark. buzzmobile  | ||

I was wondering the same thing. whats your opinion on keeping one of the sorbent packs from a pill bottle in with the seeds. do you think that would help any?

| i haven't grow seeds that old dough but i did grew seeds that where in the same conditions (black film canister, wood box, etc) and they where ate least 2 years old and let's say 3 outta 5 germed so they sure keep seeds safe.
