![]() | long time reader, first time poster... I'm looking to order seeds online for growing this summer, and I was wondering where I should buy from. there are a few other posts i found on this subject, but they are all pretty old (like 2 years) and I don't wanna get burned or have my seeds taken by customs (isn't the USA is AWESOME?). I was looking at a few sites, seedsdirect, heavens stairway and a few others. What are your experiences in dealing with these sights, and if these aren't good, what are some others? thanks

![]() | ahhh yes, haven't quite gotten around this whole site yet. also, I was wondering what starin i should buy. I live in the northeast US, I wanna grow outdoors, and i am horribly inexperienced. I want an outdoor plant thats easy to grow, sativa or mostly sativa, potent, and high yielding, and i don't wanna spend that much. I was looking at Nirvanas seeds, any reccomendations?

![]() | Although I haven't ordered myself, I have done a lot of research into this matter, as I find myself in the same position as you. I have come to the conclusion Nirvana strains, whilst not having the most stable genetics(apparantly??), are suitable for the beginner like you and me. Also, remember Seeds Direct sell Nirvana strains.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | World Wide Seeds(which sponsors this site) is an awesome company. A little more pricey than some of the other seedbanks, but their discreet packaging is second to none. Just click on the quick links at the top of this page and you'll see mj seeds. Skunk #1 would be a good strain. Course just read the descriptions about each strain, maybe you'll see something that grabs you. Also check Dr. Chronics seed bank, not as discreet as WWS, but cheaper. Good hunting.

![]() | I purchased my seeds (ak47) from worldwideseeds. Of the 10 I germinated via paper towel, 8 of them sprouted tap roots within 24 hours. I'm very happy with the result. Well worth a few extra bucks. As for the discreet packaging...wow. I thought for sure I knew where they would be, only to find out I was wrong. Their's just no way I would find them unless I was explicitly looking for them. I'm very satisfied and highly recommend them.

![]() | I also have a couple questions specifically about World Wide Seed for some of you experienced growers. I ordered some about 8 months ago and planted four of them and they all came up and grew fine. I had 11 left and ended up having to plant all of them just to get four to come up and one died right after it popped up. I put this down to loss of viability over time which is probably to be expected. I was a little surprised though because I thought seeds lasted at least a couple years. Anyway that's not my question. All four of the plants from my first grow ended up going hermie. I'm about three weeks into flowering on the second grow and of those three plants I had to kill one last night because it was hermie as well. Almost all the flowers on the other two look fully female, though I did find one flower that looked like it was starting to go hermie as well so I clipped it off. I'm not positive about that one but I wasn't about to take any chances. Now all the flowers on both my remaining plants look pretty good so far. Anyway, my specific questions are: (1) Has anyone had problems with Sensi Seeds from World Wide Seeds going hermie or is it just me? (2) Is it normal for even female plants to produce a few odd hermie flowers? I want to emhasize that the problem is probably me. On my first grow I didn't know what the hell I was doing so I ended up putting the babies under a very hot 1kW HPS. I ended up stunting the growth of three of them and they took a long time to get going but they all did recover and veg well. But they all ended up going hermie. I read somewhere that cool temperatures when their young helps produce females so I wonder if that could have caused it? Also, I wasn't as careful as I should have been about sealing light leaks and there was a tiny leak which could be responsible as well. I've fixed that problem now though and I'm using 500 Watts of EVL so the've had real good light at about 70 degrees, 40-60% humidity since day one - they grew like, well weeds - but one has already gone hermie again so that's why I partially suspect the seeds. I know I'm never buying sensi seeds again. I'll sex them myself thank you. Thanks to all you senior gardners out there I'm learning lessons one by one. I've even got some clones going now so once I get a good fully female plant going I'm sticking with it. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks all! - Roho
