Cool Skunk#1 Freebie From SEEDSDIRECT

The strain is very stable and flowers in about 56-63 days depending on conditions. It does not show a serious hermie trait. This plant can grow a little tall. Make big side branching and a killer fast indica cola. If anyone has any info to add or and questions let them rip

my first skunk #1 turned hermie, but that's the only one. i think it stays fairly short. strain basically only doubles in height when put in flower so not a huge stretch. many of the plants do get branchy but that first hermie i grew was a non-branchy type, so i think the plants are variable in terms of growth pattern but they all are within a skunk family. vigor is medium.the yield is slightly low compared to other strains for me but the buds are nice and tight. definitely worth trying. good high. flavor is a little weak. the flowering time seems about right what you said. mostly sativa 75% to 25% indica tho..

I may be bias since skunk # 1 was part of my first 2000 watt grow, but I really liked it. The buds were bright orange and smelled SO STRONG! Everyone went crazy over that strain, they just loved it.

Don't germinate

My experience has been that the free Skunk seeds are not worth what they charge for them. Maybe 2 in 10 will germinate.

I grew 10 skunk #1's from Seedsdirect in soil and here's what I got:

Of 10 seeds, 1 was a strong female, 4 were male, 5 were hermie, although they weren't BAD hermie and I was able to pluck them and finish growing them out. Under 1000w HPS the crop went 11 weeks in flowering and I still felt like I took them early. "Killer Fast Indica Cola" would be a huge understatement. They grew to about 1m tall, but that's probably because I vegged them to 60cm before going to flower. I topped and got several large main colas, although they weren't as large as other plants I've grown (Blueberry, NL). Otherwise the side branching was marginal. The plants were a little frosty, although nothing like the more designer strains. The high is good but doesn't hold a candle to the high-THC designer strains.

The one thing I liked about them was that they snapped back from disasters quickly and were very forgiving, esp. for a newbie like me (well, I was a newbie when I was growing them). They also clone easily and can be revegged.

Correction- a couple of those hermies were clones. 2 of my beans didn't come up.
