well holy cow - i thought matters of security were relevant to this grower's forum... isn't there an entire thread about security? Could I post the same question in there or is the packaging used a gaurded secret of the marijuana elite?
It seems a bit reactionary/paranoid to be closing the thread. A seed bank's method's of shipping are pretty important to their being critiqued, no?

Yes stealth is important, but I agree that we shouldn't be advertising all the secrets. We don't want to screw up a good thing.

I see where you are coming from but as I said this is not a topic that is going to be open to discussion here. It will be closed anywhere on this site it is found. Period.

I can go into a long story about how a shipping method was "discovered" and many people were busted due to it. That happened quite a few years ago but for some reason LEO had "just" become aware of "how" the beans were shipped. They made a big deal over it; news, paper, on-line, Hight Times, etc etc but why did they wait if they knew all along?, what was the big event that tipped them off? What caused them to react? No one really knows except for some tight collar white shirt behind a desk.

And do you really need to know exactly what is is? Why? for the sake of knowing? Many ppl place and recieve orders so it is indeed effective. I just don;t understand why you need to know so bad?

I need to know because other people live in my house. I don't grow at my house but it is my only address and I have already been arrested once, with a lot of my money wasted on legal i can not AFFORD to get screwed over again.

Youre talking about the first public seed banks ever.... with the advent of online buying, the risk to the seller has been virtually eliminated. A simple disclaimer saves their ass - do a search on buying marijuana seeds- what comes up? Heaven's stairway... among others. I don't think it's even left to assumption as to whether the government knows about this. THEY DO! When i was arrested the cops asked me if I had bought seeds at a number of online sites from which they proceeded to list off in the DOZENS! Was heaven's stairway on there? HAH! THAT was the first one they asked about! When I said no, i had not - they searched my apartment for different types of packaging they thought it might arrive in, sorted every letter i had there. They found nothing because I had not bought online. Can you see why I am concerned yet? The laywers, the judge - all had indiscriminate knowledge of online seed banks. They knew more than I did!
What more can i say? We growers are paranoid - and for good reason, but there is a point where it get's to be self-defeating... beyond that I understand there is no way you will treat this as a "special" case... or listen to me as a person...
Sorry to be so reactive but I have a problem with authority... you know.

Actually I'm not .. I think that was about 3-4 years ago from a Canadian Bank but definitely not from the time they first started to appear.

And yes, TBH, I do think they know exactly; I mean enuff ppl have been busted etc and have told all but don't think it should be broadcast here or anywhere else for public knowledge.....

To be safe, just have a fake name on it. When the beans arrive just have your buddy hang onto the package for a week or two and if no one shows up asking what they got in the mail then your are home free
