![]() ![]() | blazed, the biggest risk when getting seeds to sprout is overwatering, all they need is a couple of drips when the soil is dry, if u put the 1 1/2 deep then they got some time before the sprout, considering they aren' t burnt or drowned.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Something sounds wrong. If none sprout by morning, dig one up carefully and see if the thing died. Other than that, my best advice to you is CHILL! It's going to be months before you smoke your own. Your biggest lesson right now is patience. By the way, what is "good quality soil"? I don't like the sound of that.

![]() | I planted some seeds and took a couple of days to pop up not all made it. so I planted another seed in a container that had a dead seed and a week later when the new seed had grown the second set, the seed that I thought died came up. So its it might be a while but like they said ferts might of burnt em. ![]()

![]() | maybe carefully brush the dirt away until you see the seed and examine what it looks like. If its still working its way up then cover it again and if its all dried up then you can go from there. Im not sure really

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I gave my advice before. If it's been over a week, and your already germinated seed hasn't sprouted, something's wrong. Since you have several seeds planted, dig one up as a test to see if it's even still alive. BTW.... what exactly did you plant them in? "Good quality soil" doesn't help much. Maybe if you get some more seeds, we can all help you get a better start next time.

yea i guess so im going to start over and just be more carefull. what i mean by "good quality soil" is 1 part fresh chiken manure (from our chiken house in our backyard) 1 part Mango mulch(very good locally and organically made.)perlite. and some very good soil from my rose garden area.(i live in sonoma county in northern cal. im not sure for what reason, basically the great growing climate, we have very good soil a sandy texture, but with good drainage. well thx for all your help evryone im going to start a grow journal soon right now i have one 2 week old sprout doing great, a tigerstripe, white widow(and feminzed.) btw the reason i think they did not sprout is becasue of the ferts i mixed with their water. it was very very light less than 1% 1% 1%. and i sprayed a very minoramount i used a spray bottleand onlymisted the top of the cups they were in about onceor twice aday.that is my best guess. btw here is the fert i used. ![]() ![]() | I'd take them out (after examining one) and put them in non-ferted potting soil or dirt. No manure, no nutes. Water and dirt. On a moisture level I believe you will want high humidity (or damp) and not wet. And thx to all for teaching me that too much water is bad in sprouting. It can't be bad in germination though, since the cup o water method works and the seeds sink. After all it makes sense. A taproot is the first to show. When roots dry they search for water. 1+1. thx all You probably torched that fragile taproot tho. ![]()

![]() Edit: Yup, my hunch was right.. Quote "Chicken manure Poultry manure (chicken in particular) is the richest animal manure in N-P-K. Chicken manure is considered "hot" and must be composted before adding it to the garden. Otherwise, it will burn any plants it comes in contact with. " quote Manure Matters: How Manures Measure Up
