be very careful when you move those into soil. You do not want to damage the taproot. I would say put them into soil.

1/2 an inch down is about right for me. Should pop up within a day no probs. Don't pack the soil down on them.

Here it is. One sprout out of the 4 big pots so far. Planted the 4 germinated yesterday. Two are in small pots, other 2 in 8 oz drinking cups with knife cuts at the bottom. I definetely am getting curious about the other three big pots. I wanna do some digging and see what the heck happened, but I remember someone advising me not to. Can I remove some soil to see what's going on or should I let them be? I also haven't watered since Sunday. The germo's got a coat of water yesterday.

Any input?

Leave 'em alone! It will not benefit them to go digging around. I'd keep hold of them a while longer and see what pops up - they can take several weeks to show their heads when seeds planted directly into soil.

Okay I will leave them. But tell me, why did the one I checked on under the soil sprout? I'm confused. Basically you're saying it was luck for that one to sprout?

Pretty much - if they have sprouted then they will find their way to the surface, patience grasshopper!

Some of you are going to discourage this, but curiousity got the best of me. I did some digging and found that 2 seeds did not successfully germinate inside of the soil. The other seed I could not find. I am germing them now using the plate and wet towel method (success to me previously). I have come to the conclusion that this soil either has a very spongy effect (?? wheres my water go??), OR I'm not watering enough when i'm SUPPOSED to water. I'm using "Premier Promix Potting & Seedling. "Anywho, the sprout I got is a Skywalker fem. Should I water it now? It's been 5 days since I last watered, and it's been 2 or 3 days since it sprouted.
