some of you might remember me on these grow boards as potprohpet. well i lost the password to my account. getting to the point, i decided to give it another shot. my last grow was a disaster as alot of you saw. so anyway, i now have a new problem, and my babies haven't even sprouted yet...

i planted 4 dutch feminized exactly one week ago, in medium size pots. i watered 3 times so far and they did not pop the soil. so being the curious person i am, i decided to investigate. i dug a little thru the dirt in one pot. it looks like the seed is sideways and there's a white thing (root?) sticking out of it going sideways maybe 1 cm and then down into the dirt. i touched the seed and put a little pressure on it. it's definetely connected to something (that white root thing) what is going on? i fear the worst :[

You should try the Paper towel method.

Hello prophet, you really have a lot of reading to do before you go any further. Start with the links in my signature.

sup FreakShow! glad to see a familiar face on here. i am going to read now, because well, reading is worth it. i read about germination yesterday. i have 4 in the paper towel between 2 plates for next grow. these pots are rather big, i suppose that's why they STILL haven't sprouted? i planted them 8 days ago. i'm attaching a pic of them. hope to hear from you soon

So I really didn't know much about how plants grow up until now. Anywho, the first two times I watered were the 2nd and 4th days. I sprayed them each a few times, not too much at all. Then the third time was a few days ago. I gave them a nice glass each. I am only hoping for the best. If these sprout I will be sure to nurture them.

Do not water them until after they sprout - if they do - you are drowning them.

So this is day 9 and it so happens the plant I inspected has popped. The seed is still attached and it looks like the root is limping to the right. That outer seed on it is sitting right on top of the dirt. Is this normal?

The other three have not shown themselves yet.

I jus spied on the four new babies and they have germinated (I think)! The pic is low quality but you can see the white root thingies hanging out. Are these bitches ready to be planted yet?
