your looking at a week or 2.. I usually check them every day after the first 3. Just to make sure they are still damp and the roots aren't 3 feet long Seriously though.. Once they pop - they won't stop! So plant when the tap root is over 1" long..
If some pop and some dont, plant the popped ones and wait on the others.. Dont chuck them as patience is a virtue with .. You just never know

Cheers!

Scrapper, size in seeds doesn't matter much. Tiny seeds - huge seeds they all work.
Generally a "hard" seed will be viable where ones that are soft or crush wouldn't germ.

Keep the seeds moist and warm, they'll germ. Be patient, don't go poking around too much, you can injur the seed and kill your plant before it begins.

Peace- OD

The white kind of tail thing is called a tap root let it get about an inch or so before planting. You can put it in soil right when you see it but id wait to see atleast an inch of tap root first.

Thanks guys for the feedback.

Day 3 - i can see something expanding on the side of one seed. im guessing its close to cracking. Ive been keeping them moist and warm in a dark spot.

Should i change the papertowel once in a while?

yup, well over 2 weeks for me as well, usually they have popped in 1-2 sometimes as long as 4, but keep it damp, for it can take weeks.

you should see the size of the indica dominant that came from those latepoppers. tripled in size in 2 days, think they are my best growers yet.

oh yeah, bagseed? my best plant is bagseed and ive got for example papaya (excellent heavy stone) and bigbud/northernlights (excellent smoke and HUGE buds)

its fantastically easy to clone, grows well and is a short sativa, that gets many many huge buds without much effort on my parts and can handle all sorts of stress (learning curve huh? )

so dont shit on the bagseed, first time i grew out that bagseed, horrible, no potency at all, then second grow, boom im stuck on the couch thinking, what the fuck happened??

oh , i had a smoke.

only problem with bagseed i can see is that it might hermie as its probably hermieseed, but then again this bagseed i got, all females, so hermieseed yeah, but only 1 hermied and that was on the second revegging and after horrible heatissues, so not really a problem.

I'm in the process of germinating now, the first batch is bagseed it germed in three days, also using Black Domina seeds took 8 days to pop out of the soil, Cinderella-99 after 8 days still waiting. I used the wet paper towell method after seeing a taproot I placed it in soil.
Good luck on your grow.

Day 4: All seeds have grown a little bit, and on the side, seems like it expanded.
I bought a flourescent light that uses 26 watts and gives out 1750 lumens
The space where im planning to grow it is a big speaker that i have. Should i put alluminum foil around the inside walls so the light reflects better?

Also, since the space will be preety limited im guessing it will get a little too hot, no?
Any suggestions on how to cool it down? The only hole that will let air in is a little one at the top (aprox 5 cm in diameter)

Im guessing your thinking something like " Why is he planning to grow it in a speaker?"
I live with a parent lol so that wouldnt be a good idea to flash it around.

Edit: oh yeah, would it be betteer for the seeds to put em under the flourescent light?
