Germination 2 soil
permalink

April 16 I germinated 5 seeds for 72 hours sucessfully.
April 19 I transfered the sprouts to seperate 5 oz cups fill with Miracle grow soil.
I have a 250 watt lamp approx 2 ft above the plants, I water daily. The lite is on for 12 hrs.
How long should it take for the seeds to grow above the soil????????

Watering daily is too much. A five ounce cup with a seedling/sprout should stay moist for a few days, the seed needs a little air too.

12 hours of light is what you use for flowering. So unless your doing 12/12 from seed, I suggest running your lights for at least 18, maybe 24 hours for veg.

I'm confused, if you transplanted sprouts, they SHOULD be above the soil already. How deep did you plant your seeds?

What kind of MG soil?????????

It's too early for ferts.

MJ likes dry feet. When dry/slightly moist, water them till you get run off.

I suggest you to switch lights to 18/6, and water every 2-3 days. Also seeds do not need any light to grow above the soil untill after they sprout.

It depends on when the seeds sprout theirs no set time. How far did you plant them? I suggest about 3 inches under the soil.

3"? I think thats a little too deep.. I out em in (root down) about 1.5" down (pre-dampened non-ferted soil) then sprinkle the top with more soil. careful its not too heavy but enough to block out the light.. Should break through in about 3 days - and there should be no need to water until after she pops from the soil...
Good luck!!
