I have 4 different strains germinating and only one strain popped as of yet. Its been 3 days. Im using 2 tupperware containers for germing. I have one with paper towel and the seeds which sits in a bigger container that I fill with boiling hot water to get them steamy and warm.

So the Big Bud strain all sprouted last night and the rest hasnt so should I go ahead and plant the big buds and wait for the others ? Or will having plants a week younger than others not work out in the end of my growing ?

Alright . . I planted the 4 big bud seeds in 4" pots and put them in a cardboard box with a 26w CFL. The box is only about 15"X6"X20" Very small so that light should be generous to them. I think ill leave them under the CFL for a week or whatever it takes to grow outof those little pots and when I transplant them im gonna put them under there glorious 400w MH.

I put the rest of those seeds in a shot glass filled with water and im gonna leave it and see what happens. I noticed some of the seeds floated and some sank to the bottom Im hoping that means the ones that sank are probably sprouting because they shouldnt sink if there opening up and allowing air and water in. Anyway im hoping these will pop in a day or 2 or I might just use my lst 5 bb seeds and say fuck it with the others.

2 unkown strains that m using are probably about 5 - 6 years old maybe older. Should these seeds still be ok ? Ive grew four plants from them before when they were like 2-3 years old.

I forgot to post it above but how much water should I put in there ? I have a " drainage promoting soil " and I mixed in 40% - 50% perillite. How much water should I be adding to soil ?

Does water temp make a difference ? Would using water from the fridge shock the seed ?

Room temperature water is best.

Water the plants until you see runoff. Frequency of watering is the pothole in the road.

Does your CFL over the cardboard box have a reflector? Don't want to waste any light...

I just have a peice of wood over the top to at best contain the light. Its a jerry rigg up man . . . come on cardboard boxes The last time i did this I had two seeds in a 4"X6" and 4" deep pot with a incandescent light held up with scotch tape I ROCK . . . . . . . . Therefore I figure this little setup will work.

The temps here right now are highs of 10'c during the highs of the good days, however in the morning its dipping to -1'c and -3c on average. ( there going to be indoors but exposed to the outside temperatures during lights out.

Would going to a -1'c cause a shock or even worse kill the plant ?

And finnaly when I planted the seeds the sprout was only out about 1/4 inch. Should I be letting tham get out more or is that fine ?

Im thinking id like to get them out under the mh in a week or maybe two. Ideally the first transplant.

So over the last few days that ive been waiting patiently for someone here to answer my questions above I suppose I should update you guys.

The seeds that i tried germinating in the shot glass are having problems. 2 Of them opened up and the sprout is very visible but its not doing anything else. Its been on pause for like 2 days now.

I planted those Big Bud Seeds and im still seeing no sprout after 3 days so I hope that is normal. At first I was watering like 3 times a day whenever the top of the soil was dried out Id water but now I just gave it a good watering and put seran wrap over the top. I hope there OK though I want to see these babies bloom.

Is 3 days a long time for a seed to come up through the soil or is this pretty average ?
