harvested seeds

i just harvested and one of mine was a hermi. I have put some of the seeds down and have one sprouting right now. I was just wondering if there was something I should be looking for before I put the seeds in the paper towel? The seeds have been sitting out in a shot glass for about 3 weeks, are there certain ones that will have a better chance of sprouting? Or do they need to be "prepared" in anyway before beginning germination?

I like to soak about 24 hrs in a cup of water, 75-80 degrees if you can, I add 1 drop of H2O2 per oz, but that's just my preference, many swear by plain water, then when tap shows put into rockwool or dirt.Usually the darker, well tiger striped seeds are most mature/viable.

seeds from a hermie will likely be hermie themselves. Aside from that, if they're white seeds they're likely to be immature and may not sprout... As tripps said, the darker striped ones tend to sprout best.

I'll second that midwest, hermie seeds can be risky.

Good to have something better growing in the side, just in case.
Don't toss them though, just plant few at a time and keep an eye on them.

I think you were questioning the prep of this new seed and I think you don't need to do anything special. Plant 'em and watch.

The thing you have to look out for is that these seeds have a likelihood of becoming hermied plants themselves though they will likely be female seeds.

Peace- OD
