Seedling questions

I Recently found two seeds in this stickey dank chronic herb and have germinated them but am having some problems and had a few questions that I couldn't find addressed in any of the recent posts.

Are seeds from sensimilla feminized or more likely to be female than seeds from schwaggy dirt weed?

One of the seeds was HUGE and the other was tiny-tiny... is the larger one more likley to be female?

The large seed cracked VERY slowley... so after like three days of waiting I took it from the germination paper towel and am trying to get it going in my makeshift gravel hydro setup. I rolled it up in a fresh 1" piece of paper towel and stuck it root down into the gravel wit the top of the paper towel stickin out so the seeling could find it's way out... heres where I think i may have messed up. I Stuck a compact flourecent like right on top of it,,, Three more days went by and I started worrying.... the head had barley made its way 1cm toward the top and still wasn't sprouted into any leaflets or anything... so I just opened it up to see what was going on and like 3/4 of the entire length of the seedling was green... theres a tiny skiney screggley white root at the botton twilring it's way around, and the seed head is just starting to get green and form into what look like leaves... Did I mess it up by putting to much light on it?

The little seedlet seedling popped out of it's soil and seems to be growing twice as fast as the large one so i'm getting worried about the large one....

Thanks for any help on the subject...

Also... can a seedling be burned by organic nutes? (ie fish emulsion) Cause I added just a tiney ammount to the water in the hydro to help stimulate the large seed.

Thanks for your advise!

No you cant tell a plants gender by the size or look of the seeds. All sinsemilla means is "without seeds" (spanish word)so if you want sinsemilla buds then dont grow them around males. Dont worry about them unless you see some deficiencies or bug problems. let mother nature take its course and there will always be plants bigger than others. Later

Edit: you can grow sinsemilla shwag but y go thru all that troubl.

no and no (as far as i know.. i've never seen or heard of a correllation between seed size, colour, shape and gender or potency).

light is good for the seedling, you can put your nutes away for a couple of weeks imo.

at the beginning i think the biggest obstacles are watering.. especially indoors, little plants are sensitive to overwatering. if your two seedlings are very different, it could be the soil consistency.

It was my understanding that if a female plant produces a seed without having been pollinated than that seed would be a female seed. Like the feminized seeds they sell at seedbanks are all seeds they've picked out of their unpolinated colas... can anyone verify this myth?

if a female plant produces a seed with out any males around than it would be hermaphrodite. first grow i ever did i plant went hermie on me but not too bad and yes all the seeds were feminised for me i loved it. so yes hermaphrodite seeds are female. female plants have 2 x chromosomes and males have 1x and 1y. so when it goes hermie the pollen only has the x chromosome giving you x,x seeds feminised. But how do you kno the bud you got wasnt accidentally pollinated ? what makes you think its a feminise seed?

The bigger seed was probably from a more mature bud and the smaller from a less or perhaps premature bud, hope this helps

Actually Will - thank you for trying to be helpful - but that's not always true. Different strains have different sized seeds.

I had sour diesel seeds that I couldn't believe how tiny they where, and the plant popped out of the ground faster then the other massive horse pill sized seeds from some general humboldt outdoor work. those seeds were monsters, and the sour diesel seeds had a better survival rate.

just reiterating that size doesn't matter

although I've heard that it does help
