The growth time from bean cracking to dicot leaves is usually like 24-48 hrs...I don't really see much point in trying to make that any faster. Once the bean has developed past those leaves you can then provide optimum growing conditions. Different nute combinations IMO are like steroids. But H202 works well because (I think) it works as a disinfectant therefore not allowing any bacteria to prevent germination.

I've rarely had seeds not crack using paper towel method maybe <%10. Once the bean was cracked I've never had problems. I've never used any heating pad either. Just used the heat from the lighting.

The biggest thing with seedling/germination/clones sized plants is care. You need to constantly monitoring them (2-4 times per day). You have no allowance for error..it gets to hot/cold/wet/dry..and you have no chance to recover the plant will die. This is even more critical when using non soil mediums.

And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielding her fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. I'll re think my steriod anaolgy, lol. You make a great point Zar, I was thinking in terms of you can't push the plant past it's genetic maximum but you can take them well beyond what they would be in nature. So your correct in that respect. My Lady Body Builders are definatly Addicted to Organic Steriods, lol.

YES, Drop right in it, won't hurt them. Yeah the stuff you put on a cut that foams up , Hydrogen Peroxide will say First Aid Antiseptic......works like a champ.

Put enough in a shot glass to submerge your seeds and watch them bubble. Leave them in for a while like til you go to bed then add some regular tap water and ck in the mornig. Monitor them and see. I don't leave in straight peroxide more than 24 hours before switching it out with reg water. ONce you drop them in the solution note , if you can see it if there are cracks along the waters surface along side the seed like unseen hairs are poking out and in the water you should see action like that along the waters edge against the seed. Hard to explain but once I see that right away I know They will crack open in no longer than 48 hours. IMO seeds are going to either work or not and if they are going to work they do so in the first 48 hours. Agressive seeds will like in 24 or less. I don't know if the H2O2 actually bubbles them open but it sure looks like it. Its been really lucky for me. Good Luck !

Don't leave in to long I change the solution out by the next day and go back to straight tap water and maye put jsut a lil back on top.

I just germed 10 seeds that way. Once you drop them in if they float on top hit them with a pencil til they sink to. Knock the air out of them.

Report back how it works.

I've had seeds crack after 2 weeks and give perfectly healthy plants.
