![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | maybe, are you trying to experiment or actually grow the plant? not being a dick by asking that, just wondering.

![]() | my experiment would be something like sprout them with the paper towel then stick the root down a lil hose into some water with the bubbler and have the seed setting in a lil cone i crafted into it and see what happens

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | good thoughts here SmokeyThaBear07 i've often thought the same. But IMO I don't think you can increase growth time just after the bean cracks. This is determined by the genetics of the seed. I know that hydro def is quicker. But I don't think you can do anything until the plant grows past it's dicot leaves (the first two leaves that grow). Correct me anyone if they know. cheers..experimentation is a must if you want to learn though T§Z

Will the cone be point up to cover the root so there is darkness ? I've just germinated 20 seeds to seedlings recently and the temp that works best for me is 78 - 80, I use a seed mat to so there is a range of heat in the dome. From the floor to the top there is a few degree difference. Watch how much moisture is in the dome you can drown your seeds with to much moisture, not sure if you can over heat them but I know you can drown them. I'm sure you can cook them but not sure how far over 90 that would be but i got mine up into the 99 degrees which combined with super moisture made for zero results. I can tell I'm going to have aggressive seeds once a batch starts to crack right away within the first 24 hrs then another 48 hours to push through the dirt with the pod leaves. I make sure the moisture inside the dome is not so thick that it is constantly dripping down the dome. I've noticed some seeds are just down right aggressive when you set them up for success. Prior to this I was having no success at all and the reason was way to hot and way to much moisture. The starter plugs were soaked and the temp was above 90 and I had Zero positive results. Then I goggled germination and started reading different forums and ran across BlueCheese's journal and the GardenCure set me free. Good luck and I will be interested in your results.

Here's an analogy. Humans can use steroids to super size their bodies quicker than you can without. Plants on the other hand would die using the same methodology. However you can provide an optimum environment that will give you maximum results based on your genetics. You can't push them past nature at this point in time but you can set them up for maximum success based on their specific genetics. That is why knowing the strain and catering to it is so important. I'm doing Sativa right now but if I did not know that and tried to give them the kind of nutes of let’s say an Indicia strain that loves higher nutes, I would burn it up until I figured out my mistake.
